and i feel bad mrs collins. i have a bunch of similar old golf postcards. while the graphics and art on the front are always spectacular, i found the stamps, postmarks, postmark dates and the notes just as, and sometimes even more intriguing than the graphics on the front!
i wonder if g.e. anderson ever got to take miss ethel to the candy shop?
They’re a little too big for a scan but it’s there also. The photo is probably a better overall look at it, though. Pretty happy with the quality of it - it’s clean and fairly sharp.
1960 Sport Pix Premium - Large - Mickey Mantle
PS - I like Mickey.
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
Oof, what is wrong with that Griffey that it got a 4.5?
Hard/impossible to see on the scans but 4.5 seems accurate. There is some corner damage in the top left on the back and right corners and bottom right edge is soft along with the corner. Most of the issues are visible on the back when the card is in hand. Certainly presents very well at first glance!!

Grabbed this off auction history as an interesting comparison. Here is a 5 of Sr. Could not find any 4.5s. Looking at the soft corner on both - they are actually fairly similar cards with fairly similar grades.

Yes, that is a nice looking 5 for sure. Some of the lower grade cards present very well!
I've never even heard of Gus Triandos. LOL SUPER nice card!!! ) Of course, I revere the 77 Topps Randy Jones as well so take everything I say with a Topps AS card bias I own six RJ 9s and sold my only 10 when I got divorced. Still, regret that one. I say he's throwing a circle change but others disagree... Could very well be a nasty curve. Shoulda sold my lawn mower.
I upgraded by base Piazza auto and added the gold version to my Rookie Cup chase through a recent private signing. Once the gates open back up in Newport Beach they'll be among my next sub.

LOVE that card and Piazza. I have one exactly like it in grading now. Not auto'd though. Yours are way nicer.
I love signed sets and would love to hear more about your experience, if you're willing. Maybe a separate thread about why you chose to build a signed 1961 Topps set and your journey thus far?
Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.
After nearly a year I finally went back to work at work, instead of in my living room. I also moved and started potty training a toddler. Needless to say, I've been busy. I still found the time though to pick up a couple of Mookie cards for the set and this one that doesn't fit in the master, but couldn't pass it up.
I also snagged this beauty. I've admired the N8 and many of the early animal/fish/bird sets for a long time and felt the need to add one to the collection.

Trying to finish my run of PSA/DNA HOF Rookie cards from 1970’s. The low pop PSA of Carter forced me to go Beckett. I am down to Schmidt, Winfield, Brett, Mollie and Eddie to be complete.

This guy should have been one of the best ever.

Hi,
Yesterday I went to the Exchange and had a few items “Wrapped” for me:
1982 Topps Football Rack with Bert Jones
1982 Topps Football Rack with Jack Lambert, I think that Joe Klecko In-Action is pretty cool looking as well.

Like Red Miller said in Super Bowl 12, “Hey 56 you can’t do that”

Re first postcard: I bet there isn't one person in a thousand who writes like that anymore, maybe one in ten thousand.
Very nice Mike! Seaver looks all-business.
New addition to the grade run..!

Thank you @jfkheat for the Triandos AS, and 1 more for the '59 set.
Earlier today when I went to get our mail, my parents asked me if we got any mail.
I said no, but Patrick arrived here.
three more 83 topps for my set. i can't get enough of this set.
Super Nice!~!!!!!

Two more autos for the set
Nice Tiant card! Remember watching the '75 Series as a kid and trying to copy his windup...lol.
Hiya Bobby
On the "revere" thing? Some context would be nice - always enjoy why someone likes a particular player.
Plus, I'm with you. Based on what I see? It looks like he's throwing a changeup - whether a "circle" not totally sure.
Very nice card!
Upgraded to this today
2004 spx
1989 topps psa 10

Hi, since you mentioned Luis Tiant; my Tiant autograph jersey. That jersey was sent to me almost a year ago.
These days, when I see that '77 Jones card I always hear Lou's voice from _Major League _ in my head: "We wear caps and sleeves at this level, son."

I added another vintage lacrosse postcard to the collection...
Does that say mother on the other side? If so, very appropriate for today.
I believe it does. I have no idea what it is referencing, but someone thought it appropriate.

Wrestling - Danielson - Storm - Tajiri
Since Mantle is now back with Topps, I picked up a Project 70 card - ultra thick stock.
The print run was 6656.
Now the bonus! They seeded 70 Rainbow versions to the buyers - so odds are 95/1 - I got #1/70!
PM sent and thank you.
Be careful with any that are autographed, Mike. 😂

PSA 9 pop 13! Very happy to land this "Monster"!!!
This was in today’s mail; although the basketball was not included.
I officially have crabs. I liked the PSA 5 so much that I went back and picked up a 6 and it's big brother the N39. 🦀

Nothing like a Ron Gant sighting!
