Here is an 1849 half dime that has weird color. It was dipped white and then changed color from the stuff that was left on it. This is one of pieces with a "muddled date."
Here's a different take on the obverse.
And a close-up of the date.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Wow, one of the boldest underdates for the V-2 (9 / Far 6) that I've ever seen!
This is the DeLorey / Crain V-2 that is also pretty bold.
The V-2 reverse should have a crack at the right ribbon like this.
This rather beautiful coin has the added bonus of a repunched base of 1 or 4 to the right of the pendant:
It was discovered in 2006, and @MrHalfDime wrote an article about it.
I call it V-6u (or V-6ua with reverse die cracks, which yours has) in my recently completed 1841 attribution guide. https://sites.google.com/view/clintcummins/half-dime-attribution-guide
Your coin is the "MS-?" in the roster on page 19, as I didn't want to guess the exact grade.

Nice fips everyone. Here's my small contribution. In honor of Steve, this cherished and permanent edition to my collection is my one ex. Crain Collection half dime.
Beautiful coins on here, as usual. Just picked up my first half dime for my type set, 20 full years into collecting. This example is AU58 PCGS & CAC, and the beautiful toning caught my eye while the non-MS grade kept the price within my budget.

Nice one.
I recognize it as the V-8 die pair, based on the obverse rim cud / chip from K3 to K7, repunched star 3,
reverse cracks at F, M, I2 and long dentils under bow.
And formerly owned by @oih82w8 !
Reverse crack at F, die pit /chip in leaves under ER which yields a big raised bump.
It should also have an obverse rim cud / chip at K5, although I can't see that in this photo. @MrHalfDime had 3 V-14 examples in his reference collection.
Crain #1014
Here's one of Stephen Crain's many unpublished or partly published varieties, the 1852-O V-2.
It is barely published - briefly mentioned in an E-Gobrecht Journal article 2013-1 by Lynn Ourso,
regarding an example found in a desk in Germany in WW II.
His Notes:
V-2 Die state: LDS. New variety, not in Valentine. First seen in John J. Pittman sale (MS-66 specimen) with diagnostic DC @*1. Kevin Zeitler called this to my attention, calling it LDS V1. This is a NEW obverse, not just a later die state of V1. Same reverse as V1. Large DC [from star 1 to wrist].

Fascinating details! Unlikely I’d have dug into it to this level, so I really appreciate the info. How were you able to figure out the former owner?

Thanks.
Since you bought it for a type set, I figured the die variety info was not something you had researched yet or paid extra for.
But it can be fun to see cool features on coins we already have!
And after saving many photos, they form something of a "photo collection",
which I use to look for combinations of features that define the different die pairs.
It is an alternative to the classic method of building a reference collection of actual coins over many decades to do this.

OP didn't like response and changed the thread!

Half dimes are too small to see.
Here’s the first one

Such charming little coins hopefully next year ill get get one MS and one PF.
Wish I could afford a MS!
I don’t know why but the smaller the coin and the older it is the more I like them more

It's the V-5 ex-Gardner, tied for finest known with the ex-Simpson.
Here's an extreme closeup of the date, from the TrueView.
Thank you. Good to know.
This one is nothing special. Just thought the clash was fun.

The finest known V-2 is the ex-Gardner MS-66, which is likely the ex-Pittman coin that Stephen Crain mentioned above.

I have been working on an LS half dime attribution guide for a couple of years now.
So I have been saving good photos from every available source - PCGS CoinFacts, Heritage Auctions, Stacks Bowers, etc.
And also this forum, which I have been reading for several years.
There's a thread here:
https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/847248/please-post-your-seated-liberty-images
and he may have posted it there. Or maybe to a different thread.
Actually, for fun just now, I looked for it and found it on this June, 2017 thread:
https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/983244/cac-results-are-in-quick-turnaround-time-a-couple-head-scratchers-as-usual
And after saving many photos, they form something of a "photo collection",
which I use to look for combinations of features that define the different die pairs.
It is an alternative to the classic method of building a reference collection of actual coins over many decades to do this.
I wonder if anyone can guess the date of this coin ?
