I was asking a Yankees fan friend of mine if he could ever recall any other team in MLB history that had come down with so many injuries as the '19 Yanks and still just continued to knock off their opponents right and left. We're both still searching our memories but no luck. It's amazing what they've accomplished this year given all their adversity.

As far as at the plate and in the field the Yankees have ZERO peers in the game as far as depth goes. I'm not just talking about the big league roster. Their depth is rooted much further down than that. Hands down the deepest offensive and defensive team in the game and it's not close.
I got to see them at Camden Yards last night. Lots of home runs for the Bombers. Starting pitching woes continue w/Tanaka - hopefully this will get straightened out.

I'm not expecting them to beat the Astros. How could you? Their SP is on a different level. BUT, this Yankee team is only going to get better (well rounded) down the road.

...unless it’s a no brainer starter like Gerritt Cole or Madison Bumgarner, Brian Cashman should not be picking the pitchers - at all - because he sucks at it.

I am still concerned about the fact that a new guy gets hurt every day and the rotation has no true ace.
I’m delighted by the run and the season but Houston will be very tough to beat for the rest of the AL.
