Notre Dame looked good today. Auburn narrowly beat Washington. Maryland upset Texas. Penn State gets the OT win over App St. Outside of that, pretty much every other game was a blowout.

Michigan State better come away with a win at Arizona State too, or that conference will
be in big trouble after what Michigan and Penn State did last weekend.

The MIchigan State game will be interesting with the 10.45 pm kickoff time.

+1 Hopefully they stick with the run game. That's the bread & butter. Pass only when necessary. Make their d-line get tired.
Never been to a game, but its on my bucket list.

The Sumlin era at Arizona has begun with a week two blow out loss to Houston. (week one was a loss but not a blowout).

How long until the pundits say that you have to give a new coach 5 years to get his guys in?

Well quicker than expected. And this was after it was explained that Sumlin was brought in at the request of sure Heisman winner Khalil Tate.

"""Here is something you must know about the suddenly lamentable state of Arizona’s football program: When the game was decided in the first half, every player deployed on Arizona’s No. 1 offense and defense except cornerback Tim Hough had been recruited and signed by RichRod.

If you throw in Sumlin-signed punter Dylan Klumph, it means 21 of Arizona’s first 23 players used to be RichRod’s guys.

Kevin Sumlin isn’t about to get rich on this football inheritance. This fixer upper won’t be finished until a new brigade of Sumlin recruits are wearing UA jerseys."""

It doesn't really matter though, as the world's biggest cocktail party and the Iron Bowl will eventually settle things.

ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit says there are four college football teams who stand out among others this season after two weeks of action. Herbstreit says Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State would be in the College Football Playoff if the season ended today.

I said Auburn instead of Clemson bc they beat a ranked team.

As a UCLA fan the same could be said about the Chip era in Westwood. Getting beaten (pretty badly) by OU was not unexpected but the loss to Cincinnati in week one hurt. I did go to the game this weekend and OU fans were very nice. We were impressed. The OU band even played the UCLA song before the game as a courtesy.

Isn’t College Game Day at Arlington where the game will be played? It’s weird if they have it at place where the game will not be played

TCU’s Stadium only seats 43,000 or so and they have trouble filling it. I expect more Buckeye Fans at the Jerry Dome then Horned Frogs faithful. It was smart for OSU to play this game here. They sort of get credit for a road game when in fact they will have as many or more fans in attendence

I expect the Buckeyes to crush them

The biggest problem in selecting a winner in this series is TCU has won when no one thought they would. Case and point -the 1957 game in which TCU won 18-14 and let's not forget the 7-7 tie in 1961.

Penn State off to a nice 3-0 start after a bit of an opening game clunker win.

Ohio State in two weeks but they can't look past Illinois.

Great win for LSU. Good opportunity for Joe Burrow. Much better than 3rd string at OSU.

There is enough energy in Scott Frost's anger to light up the city of Lincoln for 100 years.

Seen that coming. Nebraska's QB didn't play because of a knee injury. Troy beat LSU last year and almost beat Clemson in 2016.

Former Buckeye Quarterback Joe Burrow stuns the Tigers from Auburn. 2 huge wins so far should move LSU into the top 5.

I suppose it's too late to tell Woody he needs a different tailor.

The only other explanation I can think of is he didn't get the right coat from the coat room. Must have been the same guy that gave him the hat...

Not a bad list. But why put OSU ahead of Bama? Bama is obviously the best team in the country right now. And UCF? They have played no one (just like last year. they beat Memphis twice as their best regular season wins and Auburn in the bowl game). UCF has no business being near the top 10.

Also, Im not saying ND shouldn't be in the top 10, I just don't think they are a top 10 team. They won't be there at the end of the year.

Ohio State has the best non-conference win on the road against a power 5 team. Alabama has yet to play a ranked team. UCF are the defending national champions and currently holds the longest win streak in college football.

Watching the Arizona state vs San Diego state game at 230 am. The refs really screwed the sun devils big time. That was a catch at the 3 yard line. Arizona state got screwed.
