If they used to return a number of sets that didn't grade 70 (minus what they'd want for inventory), they could be classified as an abuser. (I'm not sure what the Mint would do, but it would probably hurt to lose bulk purchase status.) So rather than returning sets, just slab 'em up and sell them that way...

No, Just going for another segment of the market for people who want slabbed coins for a cheaper price without a commitment to grade and a way for MCM to move sets that are not 70's at a cheaper cost

That applies to all Mint orders placed...not everyone ordered this set and if past order history is a guide, approx 70% of the orders were for the rev. proof set....my guess...25k to 27k so far.

I went back and looked at the EU set order numbers from last year. They started (on August 1st) at 5200000. We started today at about 5870900 which means they took a total of about 670,000 orders in 12 months. That's 50,000 orders per month or around 2,000 per day. So, I stand corrected, the majority of the 30,000 orders today should be these sets. That should put sales at 90 to 150,000 sets. If it's at 90,000, this set could be in trouble. If it's at 150,000 sets, it has a chance.

Going to be hard to quick flip if they don't sell out before the big guys get them. If we end up with 100,000 in the wholesale market when bulk sales open up, you are going to be trying to flip them retail against Apmex or MCM at $65 each and your short term upside is capped.

Well I would call them back to be sure. Maybe they are offering you a really good deal on NGC gems. LOL.
This only reverse Lincoln cent minted is less than half the mintage of a 1909-S VDB, even if it sells out, and it is a S mint.Nice PR70's should be worth a good price in PCGS holders. Older proofs had super low mintages but really don't matter to most collectors.

When I go to the little box that says agree to the fine print, the cursor is rotating and doesn't stop, so I can't click on it. When I say it doesn't stop rotating, it keeps rotating for at least an hour. It's a real stumbling block, and there is no apparent solution. Even logging out and signing back on doesn't fix the problem.

This has happened to me if Windows does an update that the computer was not restarted so things are "hanging up". Try restarting or shutting off your computer and turning it on.
Also sometimes clearing the Internet browsing history helps. Go to top right 3 dots, click, go to settings, then clear browser history. Note you will have to relog in to the Mint site.
