And once again, the mint has posted some crappy images. A shame they didn't keep the flat black boxes from last year's EU set...

And yet it’s still over price.
Compared to what? Have you priced any of the collector coins issued by the major World Mints? US Mint prices are low compared to theirs.
BTW, I'm in for a "few" sets.
If you like them then good for you. No thanks for me and it seems like many others here. It seems like flippers are pushing these sets (among many other Mint products) pretty hard. Maybe they’ve been losing money recently? Just saying.

Coinflation, silver melt $15.76. Melt value of coins $21.09. Mint price $55.00 and shipping. First reverse silver proof set ever. I am undecided. I bought all of the silver state quarter sets from the mint. Last thing I ever bought from the mint. The only one that has held value is the 99 set, and I an not sure of that after factoring in inflation. I may be in for 1, but do not plan to make a habit of it.

With a max of 200k produced, this set should be ok. Silver proof sets have sold more than 300k year in & year out.

I expect a quick sellout. You've got silver, you've got a "first-ever" set, you've got proofs...the HH limit of 10 will drive some to buy 10 instead of a reasonable 2 or 3. Roll the dice and we'll see what happens....I mean, flip a coin!!!!!

Seems to me we're stepping back to the early 60's with these Sets. Yeah they're Silver but the overhang on the Market will always be there. Just hanging there, Nobody ever really wanting them.

Given that this is a one of a kind set - I presume - why WOULDN'T a typical collector own at least one? No matter it's aesthetic appeal, mintage, etc... it represents a hole unfilled, were one to pass it by for whatever reason. Seem to me, the term "collector" wouldn't apply, and instead, "flipper" or "investor" might be more appropriate. For some, it would like Sheldon knocking only twice...

If there are still 200,000 serious collectors of Lincoln Cents or Kennedy Halves, then I'd say that this set has some nominal potential for appreciation. If not, it's just another speculative issue from the Mint. But hey, you just never know.

And later, we will have the Denver "Mile-high" proof set, where the lenses are shaped in a form of connect-the-dots and it makes the shape of an airplane. And there is a smiling female stewardess and captain looking at you like, "Welcome aboard!”
And after that we'll have the Philly Cheese steak scratch-n-sniff proof set. It will help drive lunchtime demands for cheese-steak sandwiches around the world!
Finally, they will come out with a proof set from the long abandoned and defunct New Orleans mint. In the box will be a pair of ridiculous oversize green shades and several colorful bead necklaces.

I'm still in, this time I'm going to take it to the next level and WAIT until I return home from work. This will be around 3pm, will have been on sale for 3hrs +/- I'm sure the anxiety will just about take me out, but not to worry I will have a "Happy Pill" just in case...

I will buy 2 , then wait a bit to see what the 70 slabs bring. I bought a Enhanced Uncirculated 10 Coin Set in 70 for $80...so with the 200,000 Mintage I kind of expect the same thing here( with the silver premium mark up).

I don't care for the ATB quarters in general...nor do I like the designs of the Lincoln Cent(reverse) or Jefferson Nickel(obverse) these days so I can't justify buying the entire set. I would like to have the Roosie and Kennedy though. Might try to pick those up from someone that breaks it up!
