Not looking at the coins, I can't argue with the grades. They just fixed my mechanical errors and they should be on the way tomorrow, I hope
Seems like the 7AM-8AM time frame is a good starting point of when the mint has restocked product.
I purchased one of the last available MS Eleanor R Spouse Gold at around 8 AM when it was restocked from being unavailable. It was a very short window open to order.
<< <i>Looks like ATS is where some should send there sets if they want more 70's. But will get less per set but way better then bunch of 69 set's. >>
My 10 sets might be back this afternoon (maybe) so I will see how the numbers compare...but....even getting 3 complete 70 sets at $355 vs. one set at $560 might be a better option..the 69's are about even.....only time will tell
I did notice a "Pawn Stars Label" NGC 69 set sold for $150...THAT is lame
I should add that, as usual, there are no POP's yet ATS so no clue what their percentages are
Also...in case you are interested there is a nice ANACS 70 set as a BIN for $589.99 (plus $7 shipping). It does come in a nice box though.....HSN victim getting a touch of reality...
<< <i>"Got my grades from PCGS... not very good. Only 10% of the reverse proof dimes got 70."
How many sets was that from? A little below avg. but not by very much as I have been reporting all along.
Wondercoin >>
It was from quite a few sets... more than enough to be a really good representative sample, and probably enough to be a better sample than the current pop reports as the pop reports don't reflect coins sent in by dealers that failed to reach their minimum grades. I bought sets through friends and family, from folks in my coin club and from some members here on the forum too. None of the coins were pre-screened before grading. So not only was there a pretty good quantity, but they were sets shipped to all over the U.S. In fact, I thought it was interesting that most of my buyers in Hawaii received their sets from the Mint a couple of days before buyers in California!
From my results and results from a couple of other dealers I spoke with, I would expect that on average 10-20% of the reverse proof dimes will get 70 at PCGS and 40-50% of the regular proof dimes will get 70. Again, the pop reports may not full show that because of coins below min grade not being there.
Best of luck to those of you with coins still in for grading
Ok...coins just back from ATS...I was leaving on vacay the day after I received them and was still unclear as to label availability with our sponsor so off they went
As of tonight, there are just (299) Rev. Pr. dimes in 69 grade and just (150) in the 70 grade! First strikes of course. When PCGS opens for business on Monday morning, there will be just (4) days left for FS (other than qualifying sealed boxes).
Now, that equates to a 33% grade through rate for the coin "on paper", but the true grade through rate is lower I believe (best guess around 20%).
I can say this ... THE PCGS COINS LOOK INCREDIBLE FOR THE GRADE. If I was still a collector of Roosies (I had the #1 MS set in the 1999 paperback "Set Registry" before PCGS even thought of going online with the registry LOL) I would love the quality of these "PCGS PERFECT" specimens.
Will I make more money giving PCGS all my business on these instead of NGC? Hard to say. Maybe not. I really don't care. Down the road when a finicky collector comes to me and asks me to handpick a fabluous 70 grade example for his/her collection, I will have no problem doing so (assuming I have any coins left at the time).

and I bet if you start it at .99 it will end $350 a friend of mine put up a box of 5 set's in a BIN for $480 no takers I told him to put it up as a auction start for .99 and he flipped out for a bit then it sold for $535. crazy......
I listed a couple of PCGS First Strike Reverse Proof 70 dimes and they each sold within hours of listing them. One for $369.95 (plus almost $30 CA sales tax so the buyer really paid $400) and the other for $379.95.
Also sold a 2015-W PCGS First Strike regular silver proof dime in PR70 for $140. Just doesn't seem like those should be worth that much less than the reverse proof, but oh well
