Malcom Mitchell finally got cut in NE, here's who they currently have remaining to work with. The Patriots are now left with Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett, Cordarrelle Patterson, Kenny Britt, Eric Decker, Riley McCarron, Braxton Berrios, Devin Lucien and Paul Turner at receiver.
And this is the perfect example of Bill Belichek, he leaves us scratching our heads in disbelief- actually disgust for me. Yea they make it to the Super Bowl and Win a lot of games but not without a struggle, I always think about how much better the Pats would have been if Belichek actually provided Brady with offensive weapons.
Yup and I think you can even add wasted years on the defensive side of the ball as well. Bill finally got around to drafting Chandler Jones,Hightower & Collins, then signing Revis but man did he have some bad drafts from 2007-2011.
Those are basically the wasted years I’m talking about really. I know Brady got hurt one year but Belichek didn’t do them any justice

I wonder if Dez is in the thought process of B.B.? I just don’t see it though, reasons being the guy wants a big money contract and he would be up Brady’s rear end screaming for the ball on every other play. So actually no clue what the Pats plan on doing at WR

I wouldn't mind seeing former Pats WR Brandon Lafell given another chance here as well.He had a great first season in NE helping them beat Seattle in the SB then had an injury plagued second season before getting cut. Just knowing the system is worth giving him a shot IMO.

That’s what it appears like but we all know Brady can get it done with nothing. Expect the RB’s White and Burkhead to line up at WR often I’m thinking
I'm thankful for the RB's but from what i've been reading,Burkhead's knee can go any day now and lining them up at WR would probably hurt the offense more than help it. They go outside and they more than likely have CBs or Safeties covering them depending on which WR is in the game. At least out of the backfield you know the back will have a favorable matchup.
Decker was a longshot as it is, hopefully Bill brings someone in even if its a deal like they made for Dorsett just days before last season started.

NE just traded safety Jordan Richards to the Falcons for a 7th rounder. This is probably good news for CB Jason McCourty who has been working out at safety during training camp.

I'm all for football players getting as much guaranteed money as they can seeing that the majority of these types of deals never make it to that final year and teams can move on from the player whenever they want. That Bears D is gonna be really good this year.

Khalil Mack and the Bears just reached agreeement on a record-setting 6-year, $141 million extension ($23.5M per year avg) that includes $90M guaranteed and $60M at signing, source tells ESPN.
Mack is the new highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.
That was quick.

Indeed!
I've noticed this recent trend where large contracts are now being accompanied by large amounts of guaranteed money (first Beckham this week, now Mack). NFL contracts starting to look like MLB contracts lately.

I'm all for football players getting as much guaranteed money as they can seeing that the majority of these types of deals never make it to that final year and teams can move on from the player whenever they want. That Bears D is gonna be really good this year.
