I took a quick look at the profiles and this coincidence is a little concerning. Does not prove anything obviously.
Sorry to those having trouble, and to zestee if this is really all just a series of unfortunate circumstances.
Very sorry to see this. Nothing but excuses from the seller. I hope everyone gets their money back from thus guy.

I wish that for every CU members that have been scammed by thieves like this, they'd send me a buck each. I'll be a lil richer. Plus they won't have the stress & aggravation of going online & explain everything etc., and finally they'll get a thank you card from me.
Just to set the record, I have personally bought and sold over $100K of coins, GSA cards & boxes, 1st edition redbook with various CU members (dealers & collectors) with only 2 returns, one a GSA card & a coin worth less than $200.00. Everything else was 100% satisfactory.

This transaction as been a shit show
1. Sent me the wrong cards, had to send those back
2. Did receive cards. But was missing 7 cards and 4 were damaged
3. Said he would sent 11 to fix the problem. Tracking started July 14 then poof.
Said he give a refund 2 days ago. No response since I asked for pay pal.

I was able to put a stop payment on my check. So far it hasn't been debited from my account even though he claimed to have deposited it in his account on Tues. Looks like the stop payment worked.
I got lucky this time.

I messaged him on (2) 10 oz silver bars he was offering and told him to send me a PayPal Invoice,,,,
He said he didn't take PayPal,,,,,,, I told him I only pay for on-line purchases via PayPal, didn't do the deal.
I am sure you guys are looking into this but you have his name if you sent him checks or money orders,,,,,, can you contact the Post Office where the labels are supposedly scanned as accepted and see if someone with that name works there? Even if they won't tell you I am sure they would look into who scanned those labels as accepted and see if anything is wrong since they haven't moved since scanned as accepted.
The Post Office can see alot more than they make public. If they scan a package and leave it at your porch a satellite photo is taken and the Post Master at the Post Office can bring it up to prove a package was left as stated.
They can also ping a scan within a few feet to tell where a carrier left it.

what is this about a leg growing back? Was or is he missing a leg ? A thriller with a mysterious one legged man . Where is David Janssen when you need him?
can't our host see the IP address that a new account signs up from. You'd think they would have a way to block IP's of banned members.

I hope everything works out for those who were scammed by this guy. If I could just give some advice as far as recourse is concerned - I would keep any plans and progress towards a resolution to yourselves collectively via PMs or email or phone. He still can be lurking here reading this thread even though he's not logged in. It's hard to get check mate, if he knows your next move.

there are many pcs at a public library that one can use to sign up.
unless he lives at the library our host should be able to block his IP at home from logging in. I would hope that every time our host bans a member they also put a block on the IP for future logins.

Of course the "juiciest" details are being kept via PM. We are not on his tail and don't see how he can run from this.
Derry, of course there are IP recourses. Not difficult.
As far as his "next scam" we should implement a rule that if you are new then you ship first. When he makes his next alt it will be easy to find out (again) so I will warn others (again) so hopefully everyone will heed my warning next time...

the problem w/that is many different people may use the same pc.
PCGS should close down the BST. It's apparent they don't supervise it and take a hands off approach as to who conducts business, which might involve scam artists or fraud. Similar to Craigslist.

Everyone in Ames who uses my internet provider has the same IP, so by banning one IP address you end up banning many others who use it.

People keep talking IP addresses and banning's, But I don't think either of his accounts have been banned.
I don't think they should remove the BST thread, that would punish the 98% who use it responsibly. I do like the idea of new members shipping first though.
