Tried to separate the two cents I found...must be really good glue... tried to pop them apart with a knife in the separation... did not work... I think the next is acetone...Stay tuned for the next thrilling installment of "The Joined Coins Saga" Cheers, RickO
Don't rush it, the ranges will be open again and I'm sure @ricko could hit the coins at 100 yds.
Ps
just came from my outdoor range, still open.
Coins just aren't all that much to shoot. Love shooting though, hell of a lot of fun.

@ricko said: @SaorAlba... I imagine what you got from your daughter was nail polish remover... that is NOT pure acetone and will not work nearly as well.... I suggest you get some pure stuff from the hardware store... It comes in handy around coins...and other applications. Cheers, RickO
No, it was acetone. At one point I was going to use the big bottle of rubbing alcohol, but that and the aloe gel got appropriated by our Soviet to make sanitizer.

Hadn't had the nerve to even walk past the Coinstar machine for the last couple of months but had a small tube of spray hand sanitizer in my shirt pocket so I figured I'd live dangerously. Looked like silver from afar so I plunged my hand into the reject slot and jackpot!
1962-D and a 2000-P dimes and a 2016 Columbia 200 Pesos.

Well I hit a jackpot yesterday..... Seven quarters, fifteen dimes, two nickels and five cents.... six Euro coins of various denominations...What a haul...no silver though , but one wheatie -1941. Cheers, RickO
I shop at two different food stores because i eat organic and neither one by itself has all of the foods that i like.
Both Coinstars have been dry as a bone for well over a year except for a little bit of clad and some Lincolns. None of it was worth my time of walking over to the Coinstar, placing my right hand into the reject slot, and scooping them out.
At my advanced age it takes a lot of expended energy to do that...but I'll keep trying anyway
I always have enough energy for the coinstar.... and I am of an advanced age.... Actually, seeing a coinstar, enervates me....The thrill of the hunt.... Like deer hunting... a lot of days, you do not see anything... but then, the buck shows up...Makes the season for me. Cheers, RickO
I had just completed my shopping at the Kroger U-Scan. I was getting ready to walk out the door, but decided to do a quick check of the coinstar machine first. I peered in, saw a dime, and nothing else. I knew that it was silver immediately just by the way it looked. It was a 1956 D Roosevelt Dime. Quite worn, but good honest wear with no major distractions.
I just finished shopping at the local market...as I left, I checked the reject slot - jackpot....nine quarters, five dimes and four cents...no silver or wheaties. Cheers, RickO
22c in regular change in the machine, and a poor unloved '62-D silver dime on the floor in front of the machine. Woo hoo 90% silver, first 90% since about early March just before house arrest.

Made an appointment at my bank so I could use the coin counter, no fee if you are a customer and no one inside without an appointment. First thing I did was reach into the reject slot and BAM, my first ever find. 4 badly damaged Zincolns, a copper Lincoln, a 1995 Zincoln flattened to the exact size of a nickel, 1985 Mexican 10 Pesos, 2016 British Five Pense, 2011 British penny and a game zone token. Not much but I was stoked.
@Mdcoincollector2003 ...That is great, an IHC in the reject slot...Have not found one of those. What is that 'gold' appearing coin in your picture (bottom right as viewed)? Cheers, RickO

The gold colored coin is just a standard no cash value token.
Well, the trip to the local market today was rewarding.... $3.40 in dimes, two nickels and 36 cents...one 1935S wheatie.... Quite a handful.... Oh yeah a 1978 200 Lire coin as well..... A good day. Cheers, RickO
Other than a few recent date pennies and a 2010 nickel, the only interesting find I've had in the past 2-3 months has been a grimy 1952 Canadian cent. Still I keep looking...
I gotta ask.....where is the reject slot? Is it on the front of the machine? I can't believe you are finding coins like this if it is the front one....is the reject slot hidden?
@PCGSFreddie....Yes... the reject slot is right on the front of the machine....and sometimes it is loaded (like yesterday), though most of the time it is empty or one or two coins. Cheers, RickO
@SaorAlba ... Nice, and a silver dime is always welcome...Have not found one recently, but the coinstar has been getting a lot of activity lately... so maybe soon... Cheers, RickO

Thank you! I am shocked how everyone is finding coins in that slot. I will keep checking my local machines.
The Coinstar machine was removed from the local supermarket in May 2019 due to the remodeling of the store.
The machine re-appeared in early July 2020 and so far I have made two finds, one Austria 10 groschen aluminum coin and later 10 pre-1982 US copper cents.
The machines in my area have had zero coins in the last two weeks or so...Glad to see someone is finding coins...Of course, if I made more trips to the market etc., I might find some.... Yep, got to get out more....Cheers, RickO

Just a Canadian 5c coin and a French 10 eurocent for me today. Better than nothing.
@privatecoin....Those quarters look as if they spent a year or two in the dryer....Cheers, RickO

I hit the mini jackpot today! A 1963 D dime and a modern quarter. Always a good day when you find silver.
Well I never thought I'd find anything like this...

Walmart in Tennessee yesterday I found a nickel and two pennies
New stuff. Silver someday I hope
@privatecoin .... Wow... that IHC is just barely identifiable.... spent a lot of time in an unfriendly environment. Cheers, RickO
A very dark 1941 wheat cent in the reject slot this afternoon.
Now that is a coincidence @SaorAlba.... I also found a 1941 cent in the reject slot yesterday...Not super dark, but definitely BN...Cheers, RickO
I still miss our Coinstar machine.
It was taken out of the store over a year ago when the building was remodeled.

3 quarters, 1 dime, 3 cents today. 1 of the quarters was silver 1943.
Seems to be a lot of coinstar action lately... people cashing in their coin jars and sock drawer hoards. Cheers, RickO

One lonely zincoln yesterday....better than nothing though Cheers, RickO
Just got back from the supermarket....Coinstar gave me ten dimes (one is a 2020), a quarter and two cents...No silver...Cheers, RickO
And a one-year type (1859) to boot.
Finds from the reject slot on this fine Father’s Day:
1952 P Quarter
1960 D Dime
Wow...double silver..... That is great....I have had some good days recently as far as finds in the reject slot...but no silver....Cheers, RickO
Jackpot! I was quite surprised to find an Indian head cent from 1905.
Pocket change today.
A very nice 74, clean and could be a DDO.

Probably finds from about 7-8 different days from different machines:
The 1917 cent and the '64-D dime are the highlights. I was just too busy with work and lazy to take pictures everytime I found something.
@PCGSFreddie....Yes... the reject slot is right on the front of the machine....and sometimes it is loaded (like yesterday), though most of the time it is empty or one or two coins. Cheers, RickO
Saw these little darlin's peeking out at me, begging me to rescue them from the perfidious "reject" slot whence I went to the store to buy some soda.
Is the middle 'dime' an known error ? @SaorAlba

From machines in several of the 15 or so grocery stores I visit during the course of a work week. Nothing too exciting this week.
Nice haul.... save the Euro's for your European vacation..... ....I have nothing to report so far this week. Cheers, RickO

I like the Loon Dollar. What's that 25¢ coin below it?
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
It is an old token from an Ontario casino, I don't believe they have used tokens in the last 15 years or so.
