JACKPOT!!... Well, sort of a jackpot...four quarters, four dimes, one nickel, five cents and nine Chinese coins from 500 somethings to 1 something... and a 5 Euro Cent piece. No silver, no wheaties. Cheers, RickO
Do your best to avoid circular arguments, as it will help you reason better, because better reasoning is often a result of avoiding circular arguments.
Silver in the coinstar is always a good find.... I am on another drought... seems like these cycles are becoming common...long drought, then one bonanza... long drought...OK, I am ready... Cheers, RickO
Went to Walmart yesterday. On the way out I went by the Coinstar Machine. It took me two hand fulls to clean it out. I got .64 in cents ,nickels and a dime plus a Canadian nickel. No silver.
Yesterday (9/12), Coinstar at my home grocery store yielded 3 nickels, a copper cent, and a brass token.
Tonight (9/13), Coinstar at home grocery store produced 85 cents (including a brand new George Rogers Clark quarter), 3 coins from Kuwait and one other odd Middle Eastern coin.
The eighty-five cents included a 1956-D Roosevelt silver dime!
Nice finds guys.....I have not been near a coinstar for a couple of weeks...and a few weeks of drought before that....I did, however, find a dime (Rosie) on the floor at the airport yesterday. Cheers, RickO

Jackpot at my local Walmart today! Twenty-one cents in what might be the new undated plastic prototype coinage from the US Mint. The dimes look FB and even though the cent has some rim damage it still looks like a keeper. Do you think any of the TPGs will certify them.

Two clad Rossies today. I'm not sure why they were rejected. Since I first read this post I've probably scooped up at least $5 face in US, Canadian, and misc. items. Occasionally a few silver dimes. No other silver - yet! Still hoping.
My wife was embarrassed when I left the checkout today to quickly check out the reject slot and was shocked when I showed her the two dimes I retrieved. It was a double bonus as she had to pay at the register.
Don't forget to check the dump tray as I have found coins there too.
Thank you!
Freddie
It is not that life is short, but that you are dead for so very long.
Nothing too exciting, been a couple of weeks out of circulation post surgery. Today I got out and checked a coin machine and found $1.15 in Canadian change, no silver.

Silver in the Coinstar is not common... though I have found a few... Dimes....no halves or quarters....yet. That is a nice haul...I am still in drought mode....Cheers, RickO
After a two-month drought, today the local Coinstar machine had a pile in the reject tray.
There were about $2 in current US coins, a Chuck E. Cheese token, a car wash token, a New Zealand 10 cents 2006, an Israel 1 new sheqel 5954 (1994), a Hungary 10 forint also 1994, and two old US dimes, a 1964-D and a 1948 (my birth year).

The one I found yesterday was. It was a Zincoln that was so corroded it was even missing part of the rim.
I threw it into the parking lot.
Maybe it will become a Bowtie Fantastic?

The dime is missing a date I wonder if it was struck through grease!😆
Should I post it on the error thread?

Yesterday, 1 cent US.
1916 Lincoln, corroded, likely a metal detector find.
Technically not a Coinstar machine, but from a bank where the manager saves the rejects from the coin counting machine for me.
1929, 1918, and 1943 Lincoln vents. And a ?? three cent silver
Nice fish scale. Too bad about the hole.
Nice three cent look like pretty good shape exept for the whole I think it is a 1860.
Another long drought at the Coinstar... even checked a couple in AZ when I was visiting there. Nothing.... Cheers, RickO

A long drought continues.... Holidays are coming though, and jars, bags, cans and sock drawers get emptied... Cheers, RickO
Halleluah!
And a drought ends...
Nothing in the reject slot, nothing under the machine. I get up off of the floor and glance the counter by the sorting slot and spy three coins:
Someone pulled them out of the reject slot and just left them on the counter...
...For me.
Oh sweet silver
Sweet! @SaorAlba

Just a regular dime for me the other day. Nice and new, no reason to be in the reject slot, but there it was.

2 quarters, two dimes, a nickel and a cent today. All modern
Not a big deal, but the '44 Lincoln was kind of cool to find in an otherwise ho hum bunch.
Local Walmart haul including a 1941 wheatie and a 65 year of 1953-D Jeff.
How can a grown adult get so excited over seventeen cents in loose change?
