Ha! I got a similar package from him also with 38 stamps......but NO extra 5 cents! How do you rate??

Just arrived. DC did it with all 22 cent stamps. The Mailwomen loves delivering these and comments every time. There were 71 stamps in all.
First thing… congratulations. Those are some awesome looking tokens and yeah… I’m jelly.
As a follow up, does anyone else here keep all of Dan’s original envelope sand if so, why is it never included in listings on the bay?
I know that when you have multiples it’s a bit more complicated but I would pay more if what I was buying came with the OMMP.

I send all of my Moonlight Mint items to ANACS (except for some that are too large, like a 2oz round), but I keep all of the inserts. I don't even send the actual inserts to ANACS - only photocopies. And when the coins return from ANACS, I keep each original insert with the respective holdered coin.
I have purchased MM items on eBay, Great Collections, and those made for third party distributors of items made specific for them. Occasionally there is no accompanying insert on eBay items, and never with GC and third party distributors. Typically an eBay seller will include photos of the insert, if the insert is to be included. I suspect that once MM items pass from original purchasers to dealers or multiple dealers, the original insert is tossed. ...sigh
.
edit: I just realized that you may not be referring to the MM insert, but instead, to the mailing envelope, with all of the stamps?

My house was broken into and a good deal of my collection stolen along with the place being totally torn apart. Among the items were 3 Dan Carr pieces. The items were a MMXXIII Winged Saint-Gaudens, which I know is more common, a 2022 D Peace Dollar overstrike, and the a 1943 S Peace Dollar overstrike which is probably irreplacable. I have just recently become familiar with DCarr pieces and had just received these a couple weeks ago. I am devastated. I recall seeing something on the forum about others having lost/stolen pieces. I don't remember what I read but if anyone recalls or would help keep an eye out it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry about that @smuglr‼️
Not very many of those 1943 Peace dollars around……… and I ain’t sellin’ mine….. and most of us won’t ‼️

Here is one on eBay. Looks like it may have been up a few days.
Not only do I save them, but I list each one separately in my will and divide them up among my heirs.
Not sure if you are kidding or not but if “not” I’m in the same camp.
I put my tokens from MM in capsules and they go back into the original stamped package with the flips and certs. The day I received my first envelope from Dan with the old stamps I felt like the person I had bought them from truly cared about his art and his customer’s experience.
The only one I don’t have it for was a Norse American where I left the empty package on the dining room table which my wife used to help get a fire going in the wood stove.
I won’t bore you with the details of the ensuing argument but it should suffice to say that in the end I was the one apologising as she was much more willing to discuss it than I had the patience for.
On a side note, @smglr, sorry you had that happen to you. Sometimes it is not what’s stolen as much as it is that someone stole from you.

I just went and looked at my DC mailers. They date back to 2015. I must have tossed any of the earlier ones away or re-used them. I have 18 left, 10 without stamps and 8 with. The last unstamped one was dated Nov. 2019. The first one with all the stamps was from Feb. 2020. Does anyone have one dated earlier. I’m curious as to when Dan first started shipping in this manner.

I didn't start buying stamp collections until years after I started selling minted products.
So the early mailings are not likely to have old stamps. They will usually have a meter.
I buy most of the stamp collections that come into the northern Colorado coin shops, since they don't know what to do with them. Most of the time, if the collections have any value, it is for the discounted postage. Most stamp dealers buy usable postage at a discount to face value. Lower denominations are discounted more then recent "forever" stamps. That is because, for example, it now takes eleven 6-cent stamps to mail a letter. Those 6-cent stamps were produced from 1970-1971 when the first-class rate was 6 cents. So it only took one of them. Now it takes 11.

I won’t mention his name, but he’s on here, (Dan Carrs Latest), almost more than me‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

That was me…….. but it didn’t go for $1000…….. I had been negotiating a price with a potential buyer and told him that I would put the piece up on eBay for him to see it, and told him I’d put it up for a$1000 so no one would buy it out from under him, ( with a $900 offer price on it) , and told him to contact me if he wanted it and I’d change the offer to our “agreed” price of $400. He paid $400 for it…….. thanks to Bullsitter who sent him my way, because this costumer lost on the one Bullsitter had on eBay ‼️‼️‼️

Thanks !!!
Mine has been working fine.
Has Dan Carr ever made a 1963 Kennedy half dollar? That would be an interesting coin since President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.
I got lucky again today and received something I’ve wanted for years…….
I’m using sellers pics cause hands are to shaky today.

Yes, he has, back in 2013. Before that he made a 1964 Franklin in 2011.

I dropped a Benjamin on my ANACS Live Signature MS69 in the pre pandemic era at a local coin show.
I like this one as had Kennedy been assassinated much earlier in 1963 it might have actually been the half dollar in 1963 instead of 1964.
