The pictures are from the new ANACS photo service.
I have a uncirculated “high luster” 1909-o Morgan I got about a month ago that I plan on submitting soon, that way I can have a circulated set and an archival set.
I went for it on these New Orleans fantasy pieces as it’s the place where I was born.
Looked yesterday and saw the last of the cancelled die strikes (the 199 mintage one) is all that remains and with fewer than 10 left. If anyone wanted one, it is last call before eBay.

I'm amazed that they have not sold out yet. I have five of those specific items. Brilliant pieces, great history.

Excellent comparison.
Mine were struck on bead-blasted blanks.
The Schmitz pieces were struck on burnished blanks
(you called it a "gloss" finish, but perhaps "burnished" would be more accurate).

Okay, for those interested in a Dan Carr Mint Society, let's discuss what topics we would like to cover on our first meeting. If there's enough interest we'll move forward.
I think it would be nice to cover the following:
general - charter - activities we want to cover
general - naming
general - structure - how should we run our meetings, how often, what should we discuss, for how long, etc.
I have a nubmer of topics I can discuss, but thought it may be useful to cover the following at some point, doesn't have to be in first meeting:
topics - Morgan Die Overstrikes - I can present and answer questions on this. Perhaps Dan can participate as well
print catalog effort - I can present vision and status along with a request for feedback
Any other topics people want to cover or present? We need volunteers to make this happen
@Zoins -
What is your vision: an in-person annual meeting, or zoom meetings?
As for activities, I see a couple that dove-tail off of the print catalogue effort: 1) using the print catalogue in an effort to gain wider access for grading/slabbing DC coins beyond ANACS (yes, PCGS accepts some, but I would push for all listings in the printed catalogue to be accepted by PCGS), and 2) also present the catalogue in an electronic format (as simple as a shared Google sheets to more involved like a web presence) that can be sorted (eg, by metal composition, by year of release, by host coin or blank "planchet", and more).

Carr has great resources, with his Moonlight Mint catalogue and blogs. It might be a good idea to set up a wiki, like VAMworld to manage all of the information. It is a good way to maintain and organize the data at the production continues to scale up. @messydesk migrated VAMworld to its present platform and might be able give some pointers to get it going, should this be a popular idea.
I also suggest that some might consider joining the SSDC. We run a registry and do include some Carr stuff. It is the subset of his products that are overstruck on large format US dollars or include such series' design elements. Presently it doesn't have a lot of participation, as most on the platform do VAMs pretty exclusively. I will probably add sets for the recent canceled dies too. I was waiting for my first submission of them to ANACS to grade out to have an initial set to put up.

I'm currently thinking of an annual meeting at Moonlight Mint and periodic online meetings. We need to see how much content we have to build a cadence for regular meetings. I'm not sure if monthly is too much. Perhaps start with quarterly?

A big reason for the print catalog is to take over from where Krause left off so we can get more TrueViews

That would be cool and is definitely within my thought process. Ideally we could have:
I had a good discussion with an ANACS VP. We are going to give UPS another week and see what happens. UPS has no reason to find the items. ANACS is covering the cost so UPS is out nothing. Sad they don't have any skin in the game. ANACS checked and the items can't be replaced. The big 5 that I lost are the set of @Zoins 2021 centennial pieces. I hope they surface. The Brass coin stolen is the only one sold to the public. It will stand out when it shows up on Instagram or Ebay.
I see Carr Goodies change hands, yet I cannot part ways with any of mine.
