I was playing around with some chemicals I saw on You-Tube and tried it.
I thought it looked ok so I listed it on Ebay. After fees and shipping I break even.
It's fun coloring coins but they don't all turn out good. I did an ASE and it took less than 2 minutes to get good colors. I put a Libertad in the same solution for 30 minutes and it never turned.
Thanks for the heads up, @Bullsitter. I was able to get the circulated versions of the ‘64-D, ‘70 and ‘70-D Peace dollars. The ‘64-D and ‘70 (clad Ike reverse) are out of stock. I wonder if I got the last ones.

I finally attained one of my "holy grail" Dan Carr medals! The 2016 Clark Gruber bi-metallic octagonal. A huge thanks to @Bullsitter for this one!
A very nice choice ! Good For You !!!!
I always focus on just high grade numbers and 52 HG made is quite cool !
I skipped this one, and as usual, will likely regret it at some point.
My latest order finally came in. Very pleased with them. @dcarr - is the 1970 CuNi Peace dollar with Apollo reverse that I received one of the ones you mention as being over-struck twice with a lateral shift between over-strikes
(one high-grade, one circulated)? It looks as though LIBERTY was double struck on my coin. Thanks.
Larger obverse image (1970 CiNi Peace w/ Ike Rev.):
Nice pics there @darth_morgan! I see your circ appears "grainy" in the pic -- my pics were too. Seems like hi-res shots accentuate the circ/grainy finish? Perhaps part of the treatment to make them look circulated?
IMO your doubling in LIBERTY is "ghosting" that occurs when the host coin isn't exactly lined up with the dies (or has been modified) and "appears" to be doubled die strikes. Chief had some good pics of that a while back. You would KNOW if it was a multi-strike -- all devices will be substantially shifted! Mr. Dan has mastered this WOW technique.

Thank you, @Akbeez. Yes, there certainly is a grainy appearance to these. The 1970 has a proof-like glossiness to it, though. It certainly stands out. I get what you’re saying about the double strikes. My coin is nowhere near as dramatic as what you refer to. I understand that now. Wishful thinking, I guess. LOL. Doesn’t Dan usually keep those dramatic “error” strikes?
They occasionally appear on this forum through various channels. For example, this appeared a few months ago ~~

It turned out to be somewhat difficult to strike the Peace Liberty Head over the Eisenhower Head. Most over-strikes that I do are of the same design as the host coin. In the case of the Peace over Ike, the outline of Ike's face would typically still show as unsightly scratch-like lines on Liberty's face. So what I did on many of those was to lightly broad-strike them out of collar after the normal over-strike. That would mitigate the lines to a significant extent (but not completely). This extra broad-striking resulted in some slight double-striking effects, especially near the rims. Also note that the only "1970" Peace obverse die that I used has an actual doubled-die effect in the engraving on the upper portion of the obverse ("BER" of LIBERTY and nearby tiara rays).
The "circulation" process that I use has evolved over time and I often experiment along the way. So every batch can come out with a different appearance.

These have been sold by a seller from Poland for some time so I'm not sure that they are new, or from China.
A set of 2010 Buffalo Amero knock offs were made in Canada as well.

I recall this awesome goodie was your idea Gluggo , right ?
My favorite MMOH creation, I wish I owned it.
Please keep me in mind if you foolishly decide to part ways ?
Lindy
It was a great idea!
Congrats to @Gluggo for thinking of it and Dan for striking it, both times!
That is a neat one. And a nice photo of it also.
Technically, however, it is a "2019" Open House strike, not a "2020" as indicated on the image.
My latest items. Used some eBay bucks to get the Ameros.

This great looking piece is available now and just 1 of 8.
Dan's creativity and artistry is quite evident on this one.
Anyone know who is F.H. Color Mix?
It looks pretty decent. I'm worried about catching something from it

Ah good to know! It does look like this one turned out quite well. Good color to go with the virus.
I agree it's fun coloring coins. Experimentation and seeing what happens is part of the adventure of creation.

@Bullsitter previously posted this back on page 93. Amazing how the pages just fly by!
Thank you. I always thought this piece looked better in hand. Glad she has a good home.
Dan updated his site and lots of stuff SOLD OUT.
I just bought the last two 1970 clad Peace/Ikes.

I wonder what Dan has coming next...
Well, I'm thinking a "1979" Ike has GOT to be a future offering, especially since he just made a '78 SBA. I'm hoping anyway.
