I found a 10 dollar bill in the grocery parking lot.........but I returned it to the person that I saw drop it.

Got about a dozen pennies and a Ghana 10 Pesewas coin (similar to 10 cents) in a Coinstar yesterday. First significant Coinstar find in a while.

Hey Ricko, I stopped by my 2nd favorite high school parking lot today and found 3 quarters and 3 pennies. They show up pretty good in the sun.

Wow... no sun here today.... and nothing in the parking lot.....However... 22 cents (two dimes, a cent and a Canadian cent) in the Coinstar reject bin. First finds in a couple of weeks.... Congratulations on your daily haul...Cheers, RickO

Finds have slowed down for me lately. Since Monday 2 quarters, 2 dimes and 8 pennies + cans. I did take 37 pounds of cans from the last 7 weeks to the recycling center and and got $14.30.

2 nickels and a penny on the floor by Coinstar in Walmart then 4 pennies in the parking lot. On my walk and jog found 2 dollar bills and 21 cans.

Unbelievable...on the previous thread I just posted that I am finding nothing... anywhere... and PPC comes up with change and bills.... and cans of course. People who live by you PPC must hate pocket change... Cheers, RickO

@WhiteTornado ....Good point...Though I know kids today seem to have a prounounced disdain for change...not sure why...I guess with inflation they are only impressed with dollar bills and larger. If we go to the dollar coins and do away with bills, then we should be finding dollar coins all over... I guess change in the pockets of those tight jeans does not look good... Cheers, RickO

Tuesday was a first for me. Found a dateless Buffalo nickel on a walk that went through a strip mall. Wednesday was a quarter a penny & 32 cans. Donated my 99th unit of blood today so I stopped by the grocery store Coinstar. 2 quarters a dime and 5 pennies. all new stuff including a 2017 cent. Don't know why they were kicked out

I stopped by the grocery Coinstar every day this week..... Nada, zero, zilch, nothing..... Parking lot(s) at the grocery and mall... zero.... I am sure happy PPC is finding all this good stuff... keeps my spirits up and my quest continues.... Cheers, RickO

Found a heads up 1998 cent today in the restaurant parking lot. At the last two casino trips got lucky when I cashed out the ticket in/out voucher. A 1939-P nickel in XF with nice luster which surprised me. Must of come out of a collection. The other a fine 1926-P cent. Looks like the place to go for coins as previously I received a war nickel. Better luck than rolls from the bank. Too bad it costs so much to go, if you lose.

@BLUEJAYWAY .... Yes, going to casino's can be a risky deal..... unless you just buy chips, go have a drink and a snack, then go back and cash them in..... People watching at casino's is as much fun as at airports.... Plus, if you get some good coins back, you have an evening of entertainment for low cost - as long as you stay away from the tables. Was helping a friend do yard work/garage clean out today and found a 1970 quarter, 2 clad dimes, and 2 Mem. cents in the dirt. I was allowed to keep the "bounty"-was my "tip" for helping out.

Found at the 'fee free' CU coin counting machine today when I finished cashing in my copper cents.

I just don't understand....................some were in the reject bin and the others were just sitting on top.
I have found that the lower income neighborhood banks have more free coins just laying around.
Not being un PC, just my observation over the last decade.

What a great thread! Glad I found this.
I used to do landscaping on the side years ago. One of my accounts was our local credit union. I used to find tons of change by the drive-up window. Also found a $20 bill caught in a shrub when I was weeding the flower beds.
Looks like a fun thread to follow.

The $50 bill will also help you buy new shoes/boots after the 50 miles you walked. I was also thinking about taking a long 10 mile walk to save bus fare but its not cost effective. I just got back from a quick search, 1 closed drive-thru 0.00 , 0.04 from another , and a closed Walgreens parking lot 0.02 , Total 6¢ . Hardly exciting here .

I have never received a $100 bil dispensed from an ATM, always $20 bills as the highest denomination.

Found a 2015 Trinidad and Tobago 25-cent piece in a Coinstar bin over the weekend. Looks like the coin depicted here:

Wow... $100 bills do not show up in the 'found' column very often.... In all my years I have found only one..that was under a pool table at a bar when I was in the Navy.... that was a fortune back then... Cheers, RickO

Just got back from a late night search and only found 5 pennies. Strange thing though at the Seven Eleven, the employs come outside and keep asking me if I want something to eat ( for free). That's nice of them to offer a free meal to a hard working numismatist. I told them nah, I had dinner at home, but thanks anyway.

Well... PPC gets coins, tools and cans... and you get cents and an offer of a meal.... While I looked in parking lots, mall floors, coinstars and streets and get - wait for it - nothing!! :'( Cheers, RickO

good guess, the quarter was found in a covered parking space and

the cent was out on the st. having been run over by many vehicles, peds, bikes, etc.

If you guys see a coin embedded in the street, do you try an dig it out ? I do.. and if I cant get it out with my finger nail or key, I`ll go home and come back with a flat head screw driver.. Are we crazy here ????

I have not encountered that yet... but would likely try... I always have two knives on me... so I am sure I could get it out quickly...Cheers, RickO
