Jon, or anybody, are there known '08-S dime RPD's unlisted in Cherrypicker's? thanks. I see a slight one in the lower loop of the 8 here. I don't have the camera like Jeff's Canon to get you something digitally but I can see it in hand near the inside right edge.

I can't tell anything from these pics. I have at least 1 1908-S RPD on my Variety Showcase. CONECA doesn't do Barber Dime RPD's, but they do RPM's. I have several ready to go in to them.

Not in CPG, 5th edition.

Here's my latest upgrade to my dansco set. She has a small spot at the bottom tip of her neck; It looks like it has been rubbed a little there...so whatever it is, it's staying there.
Here's an interesting piece of trivia about the 1902-S Barber Half. Other than the 1892-O Micro O the 1902-S has the lowest total Population of PCGS Graded Coins of 264 in all grades!
@amwldcoin. Great topic. Top 5 (PCGS) of the Halves: 1902-S (264), 1901-O (301), 1904-O (315), 1903-S (331), 1902-O (344); Quarters: 1899-S (178 and a lower mintage than the 1909-O), 1898-S (185), 1907-S (196), 1903-S (205), 1907-D (208)... and the 1902-S would be next (213); Dimes: 1907-D (149), 1910-D (163), 1898-S (173), 1906-S (185), 1902-O (192), followed by the 1908-O with 198; Lib Nickels: 1896 (619), 1895 (637), 1890 (657), 1894 (722), 1909 (753), followed by the 1898 (769). Notice a lot of the same date-mints for the denominations... many are middle-of-the-series issues.

07-D dime. I suppose most wouldn’t be monetarily worth slabbing. I can certainly attest to the difficulty of the halves. Happy hunting everyone. Don’t buy any headlights!!🙂

1907-D dime: Relatively speaking, it does show up, however, as the lowest pop of the lot along with 16 of them CAC'd.

Darrell - That's an interesting take on the pop reports. Lot of factors come into play, but regardless, I agree that the 02-S half (and quarter for that matter), are tougher than they get credit for.
erwindoc - I bet he would have. RIP Mike.
Here's hoping everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

Here is the '08-S in approximately the same grade @jedm that I found in the raw and was later graded by our hosts as VF30. Yours seems to have a sweeter disposition. Although straight graded, mine seems to have a bit rougher obverse and some minor gunk on the reverse at about 4 o'clock.
Tim
Much underappreciated date.
My best is a raw 55. Purchased in 2002
Next best is a nice F-12. acquired in 1996, I paid a massive $15, current trends is $$140. Not bad at all.
Well, I had a friend submit 6 coins for me to get me outta the mix trying for 58+'s. I was disappointed and then again I was not. I submitted the coins raw and didn't get a single +.....yet. I suspect barring a miracle the only way to get a 58+ is through reconsideration for + only. That is how I have made all the +'s I own that I didn't purchase as a +.

Very nice 02-O Jeff. Here is my latest up grade from 50 to 58.

Thanks Mike, there are so many positives with this coin. I had to sell some gold to make it happen, but I'm 100% glad I did !!
Guys, lots of nice coins being posted recently … good job!!

And by the way, hi everyone. It's been a minute. Still not a buyer, but have been lurking recently.
