Ok , sorry I have a bad camera but picture 1. Clash runs over the a in quarter and curves up and around under wing ( That would be the back of the hair) picture 2. this is tough to see but, it is just a bad angle runs from between nu in unum and runs all the way up and down you can see it under unum to the wing better! picture 3. You can see that one plain as day but it also connects across the top and you can see the outline in many different places on the coin! Nice little bonus to a coin that my camera does no justice (wonderful colors) lol!
You're right - it's a nice bonus - and an interesting coin. Its a minor die clash and as a result - not worth more than a perfect coin. Just a whole lot more fun !! >>
Broadstruck - beautiful quarter, but it's not broadstruck. Maybe you ought to sell it. hint hint!
RLD - seems the collecting bug never leaves. Maybe you could try barber quarters this time. Wait a minute, what's the matter with me, they're tough enough without more competition.
The other coin I recently acquired from Doug, PCGS-40.

Vern l It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.
Broadstruck, you know of course, that 92-O Type One is the rarer of the two and your's is an excellent example. Never knew you owned that !! Bring it to Phila with you. >>
Thanks MFH I'll bring it for show-n-tell
To Err Is Human.... To Collect Err's Is Just Too Much Darn Tootin Fun!
Vern - Nice additions - Really nice coins from Doug
Mike - Super Dimes - Endless accumulations .. Bravo!
Broad - Love the 92-O Quarter - looks fully struck, great tone .. MS63?
Well .. I am continuing to expand my horizons and as such ... a prized piece has just been listed on the world's internet flea market ...Hate to let it go .. But won't fit with my current set so time to let someone else be the keeper for a time ... Amazing toning and a breathtaking reverse .. One Lenny would likely appreciate:
Broadstruck - I like the 92-O even more now. And the 07-S, such a tough date in orig AU. I would pay a very strong buck for one like yours that wasn't an error. Great qtrs.
Pauly - It's a PCGS-58.
Scott - Such a tough date, I bet it goes pretty quick.
A newp that just arrived today, PCGS-45. I am very pleased, thanks Dennis.

Vern l It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.
Excellent example of a tougher date half Vern .. the 1902-O XF45 in my set was one of my first coins in the set .. Didn't realize at the time what a deal I got on it paying only $275 for it .. Several months later I remember seeing Arnie Heller selling a couple of 02-O Halves in the $500 range for XF and high $300's for VF35 ... As I recall they may have sat for awhile but at the same time I didn't see another for sale for about 6 months and that was on Heritage. I know Dave Kahn sold one recently. If I remember correctly it went in the low $400s
I was looking through The Complete Guide to Barber Quarters ... Never realized all MM were directly above the R ... And so many different positions. Here is a PCGS AU50 ... of course the more common T2 !!!
hi, all Barber friends! I thought I'd share what I've accumulated over the last year. And boy-oh-boy do I wish I could photograph the 1908-S below properly. It's my favorite Barber I own (proof-like fields, and all of the details of a coin still MS-65). It was a Dogwood purchase at some point last year. All images done with an iphone
Patches, you have had a decent year! Those are some killer halves!
Mike, holy Barber Dimes! I think it's great that putting that set together is gathering the interest of a 14yr old. That's just so cool for today's youth.
Broadstruck, I can barely afford a Barber in that condition, let alone an error...I hate you...
That is one sweet half! The only UNC is very intriguing. I know I have seen Realone's but I believe that was an AU. That would be too cool to have the only known MS error half.
<< <i>Now, that's just plain mean - the young man said he couldn't afford an AU Barber Half - let alone an error - and you show off another error - I bet you taunt your little dogs too - here is one just before he booted it into the pond ...
>>
And remember boys and girls, never throw coins into a koi pond. Great pic!
We're all born MS70. I'm about a Fine 15 right now.

Thanks again for the very nice 1907 quarter!
Doug
Great pickup, and a VERY scarce date/grade.

Nice selection of worn Barbers...they look enticing.
Scott,
Nice 92-O...streaks across the obverse I'm assuming are from the holder...but good detail and crust...a real contender!
LP - Nice group, no rim issues or anything.
Doug - Thank you for the trade. Thought I'd post a couple of pics, you have great taste in coins. Will leave the 05-S for another day.

These early ones are tough to find with full rims on both sides in "affordable" grades.
Plus no guilt cracking out these yellow label ANACS.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks barberkeys, Below is a better picture which shows the luster better on the 92-O... It's the prettiest AU64 I've ever found.
The other is the 07-S Off Center plated in David Lawrence Barber Quarter Error Section also in a PCGS AU58 holder.
