we're on 4 days now. Time to forfeit the lot you won or pony up something else me thinks
  • don't want to hold this up any longer, ball is back in churhiscool's court... I will forefit the Manning.
  • alright i'm frustrated how the thread has kind of stalled and my lots has been going back up. we're gonna have to try something else, if no one claims asw lot i'll put up one fresh lot.

    I am trying, man
  • yea i know partly my fault i may have od'ed people on autos (will be less choices going forward). a signed rookie ripken plus rookie auto hosmer should've gotten it done.

Although not items I collect, I think that is a nice lot. Surprised it is still there.

Its a great lot.......try to switch it up and see. Its not for lack of value for sure
  • I agree Mdube. People have to stop taking it personally. Just because you put a lot up that has the value, does not mean others want it. It also, does not mean it is a bad lot. If you take a lot, please be sure that you have a few different lots just in case. Things like autos are a select group of collectors.

I agree that ASW had a fair value, but for whatever reason, the lot is not being snatched up.

Once again, just my 2 cents

I think it is because the lots were inching up around $300. I know my lot was very close to the $300 level. Then somehow they tend to gravitate down to less than $100. I think most members are waiting for the monster lots again.

When a $300 lot is taken, the offering being put up should be comparable. It doesn't have to be equal. It doesn't have to be more. But when you migrate from a $300 lot back down to a lot below $20, therein lies the problem. The lots being put up in exchange for what was taken aren't being close to being comparable by a majority of the members. If everyone keeps taking more and putting up less, you are eventually going to have a $10-$20 lot put up. That is what has happened here, thus the stalled thread. I love the story behind this thread, just don't think it is going to work. Sorta like the federal government and the 49%......as long as more is being taken from the pot, and less left behind in the pot, then pretty soon you have a pretty pathetic pot.......Just a rambling observation.....Carry on....

I also think that when a majority of the cards offered are auto'ed that it elimnates some people. I personally have no interest in auto's no matter who the player is.

And sometimes the bigger lots don't always appeal to a collector. For instance, look at the option of the Chipper, Cam, and Carmelo autos. Seems like a great lot. But if you only collect baseball cards, then the other two don't do much for you. If a Chipper collector took the lot and then the other two ended up on eBay, would he get beat up on here for it?? I just think some of these lots, as great as they are, are almost too broad.

    Just my two cents.

I'd like to see the thread going. It's been fun.

  • alright guys new lots. this is my last try, if you're going to take the lots please at least have some alternatives in mind to switch things up. the members have been cool telling me to hold shipment until their lots are claimed, but i'm now 0-3 and don't want to have to worry about the next lot after mine also. if no one claims one of these lots i'm just going to put back jarrod's koufax in a couple days and bow out also. i'm kind of tired tbh.

first is a signed topps nolan ryan. arrived cracked during shipping, no damage to card i just don't have the opportunity to reholder.

people are screaming vintage, sorry i don't have anything lower value to throw out this is my last a 1909 e90-1 lajoie. fair condition to me clean back i value at $125.

    image

or b...rookie signed griffey bowman. nice card nice sig NRMT/MT+++ all the way. so either the ryan with lajoie, or ryan with griffey.

Seeing the other Hank Aaron I posted went so fast i'll try another one. If this offer isn't up to par with what I took please let me know and i'll try something else. There is no tilt on this card it just was a little crooked in the holder when I scanned it.

Nice lot, love the 52 Feller (which is about a $75 card).

    Added an alternative lot....

PSA/DNA Brooks Robinson signed jersey and bat (both the jersey and bat are PSA/DNA).

Great for a collector of the human vacuum or an Orioles fan.

Although I'd love to see that Brooks bat next to my Killebrew signed bat, I think I'm gonna say "I'll Take It" for the cards lot. I've always wanted a nice '52 Feller.

My offering up in a sec...
