<< <i>Isn't the Yogi Berra signed ball a good offering though?
I do not collect autographs at all, so I don't know what the ball is worth...... but it seems like something a person who does collect them would want.....

The Yogi Ball is/was a great offer. I do not know why no one has taken it. I'm currently selling all my autographs, otherwise I would have taken it.
Yogi ball and 50 bucks still sitting out there, huh? OK, twist my arm. I'll take it.
I'll put my lot up tonight.

If the lot is still available by roughly this time tomorrow night, I will add something to it (I don't know what yet). If that doesn't work, then I'll try a different lot.

I have added to the current lot. I don't have any more football (at least not football that anyone would want), so I added a few Tony Gwynn rookies.

You can always take it now and leave it in the box until you're done painting!

OK, the tribe has spoken- the football lot gets the hook. Here is a new lot. Whoever claims it gets everything pictured here:
1. 1989 Upper Deck BGS 9 Griffey rookie with great subgrades. 9.5 subs for centering and corners, 9 for the other two.
2. One of each Tony Gwynn rookie. They are all right around NM-MT. The Fleer is maybe a little better, the Topps is maybe a little worse.
3. A few Heritage star cards. BGS 9.5 '08 Heritage 'Then & Now' Banks/A-Rod (9 sub for corners, 9.5 everything else), and three raw '09 Heritage chrome refractors (Miggy, Longo, Wright). All look MINT to me.

Great stuff there. I like the Pete Rose stuff but with cleaning and shoving things around getting ready for the holidays I don't have anything handy to offer up.
Doc ... I have no idea why your lot(s) are still not taken. There are some very nice items included. Like I said before, if I did not already have those two Mantles I'd have taken them as soon as you posted!

The ONLY reason I didn't take it is because I had just taken a lot recently. That was a fantastic offering.

I like this, lets keep the lots 1 or 2 cards and put the value at $100-150. It'll keep things moving and fun. Also, I think it should go without saying that each lot should progress in value, hence "pay it forward"

Jason ... we tried to do this in the beginning, but it got a little crazy. People should, however, list something of approximate value or more.
I've asked people (who have put up significantly lesser items than they took), would you take what you just put up and give what you just took? Most of the time they changed their offer! lol

Thanks for the kind words. I tried to give something meaningful that had value, but I wasn't thinking of pay it forward as a strictly 1 for 1 cash value proposition. We give what we can that we know others will find meaningful. I think the key to this thread is to offer items that you have a tinge of regret in giving away. That ensures you get something you will really appreciate and you give something that another person will equally appreciate.
I'll start with a Clemente to keep that theme going. To be clear this is just a low grade add on. The real offering is below.
I thought I would try a twist since so many on here are into the unopened/open to find 10's and Rookie, Stars craze now.
So you get everything listed:
N.L. 1966 R.B.I. Leaders (Clemente tie in)

And last but not least, simply because it pains me to have these in my house.
1982 Topps FB cello w/ the sorry Tony Dorsett on Top 1982 Topps FB cello w/ the also sorry Tony Hill on top 1983 Topps FB cello w/ the "draw your pistols" punk Butch Johnson on top
In case you did not know, I do not care for the Cowboys!
So keep them all sealed or open them and try for a Rookie of Cal (x 3), Gwynn, Boggs, Sandberg, Larkin (already on top), LT, Lott, Munoz, Montana (2nd yr.) plus their IA cards, Marcus Allen and countles HOF'ers and gradeable beauties that may be hidden within.

well, since those 2 cards don't seem to be doing it. Would anybody be interested in an off center Clemente instead? You can see the centering in the scan, other than that the card is nice with pack fresh colors
