    Very nice picture @Eldorado9 . Although the space is surrendered to the black background, providing proportional sized photos for the denominations is a nice, different look than a stack of same-size photos.

    That 1853-O is not easy to locate in PCGS XF45 or better. Yours looks XF45 to me.

    The 1860 proof set is fabulous. 1860 is not an easy year for finding attractive proofs, either. Mintages were very low, and many surviving coins are dipped or unattractive.

    Thanks Rhedden! Yeah, those coins are really special, and very original. The flash of the mirrors is one thing the photos can't convey, but they really have exceptional flash, which oftentimes is lacking in these era of proofs. Most were melted, and/or found their way into circulation back then.....Best, Eldo

    Eldorado, the 1861 MS64 Proof Cent occupies the PCGS #13595264 slot. Interesting you have a run of #13595260 to #13595265 that are 1860 coins yet the #13595264 proof cent is dated 1861. Any additional info?

    The rotation and the repunched 1 9 below the date are the classic markers for the V-3A die variety (#13 in the Top 100).

    What I haven't seen before is an apparent horizontal die crack through star 13, or maybe it is a lamination error.

    Here's a raw 1863-S dime with some reverse doubling. Wonder how significant that is?
