A couple on raw newps for this evening. (Thanks for photos, Vern!)
Thanks, Rhedden, on the 42-O. It really is sweet. I like your 1869. Another raw piece....
Perhaps this newp will rekindle my interest in putting together a raw vg-fine date set:
Nice coin, Vern! Here's a nice 1840 dime w/drapery.
Couple of raw dimes tonight, photos courtesy Barberkeys.
Not sure if I've ever posted to this thread before, but I got a couple new seated this summer:

Nice one. I recognize the die variety as V-2a, with obverse file marks near the dentils from the toe to 3:00, and some light die cracks on the reverse.https://sites.google.com/view/clintcummins/half-dime-attribution-guide
yosclimber- Thanks for the die variety info! For tonight, a civil war half...
Most would pass on a details grade, but at half the cost of a straight grade and part of circulated series run, does it really matter?

It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.
