instead of doing these scans, I really should BE golfing. Would someone post a comment sometime..it has been really quiet, not sure if anyone is still paying attention to this thread (or maybe too busy getting the set registry info in for awards!)

June 4th - 1931 Churchman Small - Percy Allis , Long Jim Barnes, Aubrey Boomer
This is a super difficult set, much tougher than the 1931 Churchman Large Prominent Golfers series. This is also the last dedicated golf set Churchman made for golf cards.
This has fabulous caricature cards and is a series of 50. As with many cigarette card sets, the end numbers (#1 and #50) are pretty tough to locate in high grade.
A lot of big names in this one, so I will start at the top!

June 11 - Churchman Prominent Golfers Small - Walter Hagen - Rex Harltey - Art Havers
The Haig, only thing missing is a drink in his hand, I do love this card.
Rex Hartley - Ol Rexie has a very unusual smirk on his face...would love to know the story behind it though...
Arthur Havers - the mysterious hand of what I can only assume is his caddy handing him a golf club from the side of the card. Pretty ingenious drawing for a set that represents hand drawn representation of cards and not actual photos.

June 13, 1931 Churchman Prominent Golfers Small - Len Holland - H.C. Jolly - Harrison Johnston
Len Holland - Len is ready for "movember" in any given year with that stache'
H.C. Jolly- One would think that with a name like Jolly, you would at least be smiling on your golf card!
Harrison R. Johnston - The determined look of Harriston R. Johnston...of course you have to be determined to get that middle initial R in your name as well.

June 16th. 1931 Churchman Prominent Golfers - Francis Ouimet- T.P.Perkins - Ed Ray - Harry Vardon
Always Fitting to have Francis Ouimet Featured on US Open Weekend. Here is a great card of him (and one I think could grade higher if I as a guy that cracked out holders )
T.P. Perkins
Ted Ray- Wow Ouimet and Ray on the same day...guess I should have thrown Vardon in here....OK! I Will!

I haven't checked in much lately, but have you done all the SI for Kids cards they've issued over the years for both males/females? Or, any of the random insurance company cards issued over the years that would have a golfer here and there? Or, the golfers included as part of the "Sportscasters" sets from the late 70's?
thenavarro wanted something a little off the beaten path...so how about
1992 Richie Fairway Favorites!
I have the only graded set in existence to my knowledge (ok I DID have it but it since is sold with my collection sales going on)
These are cigarette sized cards that are more modern, and the supply is starting to dry up. I will feature a few on here today and also a back design.
A number of cool things with this set

We won the horse-race during the practice round, I won an Amazon Kindle Fire on the raffle last night, we won a couple of skins and one flag prize, and today we finished 3rd in our flight for the tournament and T5 in the calcutta. I am off to the banquet shortly so will post more cards tomorrow.
