I'm surprised that the AP's are still not selling these. With the prices falling on eBay and silver prices being unpredictable, if silver fell they could be stuck with these. I hope the price doesn't fall to the point nobody wants them but it could happen.

So the prices have fell from 3K to 2K, it's still a huge profit. Unless the Mint has lied about production numbers there is almost no chance the price falls below 1K.

There is a limit as to the number people willing to overpay for a set of these when they may still be purchased from APs. I agree the price of these will never fall below 1000 unless the bottom falls out of silver, but the $3000 per set of ungraded will be a memory in the near future.

The good news is that Fidelitrade seems to be sending emails everyday. Maybe they only have one person dealing with the whole ATB program and its just taking a while to get through all the mail. I sent a personal check overnight and still have no communication with them. However, I still have hope that tomorrow will by my day. Thanks for all the updates.

I just saw my colleague,s MTB coins. They are stunning! No dust or handling smudges like my APMEX coins. I would be shocked if his MTBs were not all NGC 69s. Two of my APMEX coins got 69s from PCGS. These MTB pucks look at least as nice (of course the value is droppng through the floor).
Not sure if it was mentioned before.... but the attachment that comes with Fidelitrade "acceptance of correspondence" email describes how they are handling and packaging the coins. I know there was some concern that they would be roughly handled, but it sounds like they are doing a pretty decent job with them:

These were the APMEX pucks and looked very nice. I think that they may well have all been NGC 69's ER looking at the NGC pops. May well have done better submitting to NGC. That was my plan but on the day I was going to ship PCGS started accepting them and decided that they were going to do FS. At that time they had not yet announced that there would be no FS deadline. Don't know what to do. May sell and submit others to NGC for ER slabbing to keep. Being that I did get two 69s out of five coins will we see some PCGS 70s? >>
If what you say is the way things are going to play out (NGC going to grade much looser than PCGS), I'd be inclined to stick with PCGS because their grades will become the defacto standard for the pucks and will serve us far better in the long run viz-a-viz "value." If NGC appears to be grading like ANACS, IMHO, they will be market priced like ANACS. Better to stick with the hardest grader on a very new issue where the harder, and yes lower, grades, are likely to turn out ultimately to be worth far more in the long run.

Yes and they have the advantage of doing so before the hoop jumping flipper even has a chance. The AP's friends (and probably the AP kickback) is making a lot of money over this stalling the APs are doing. >>
Whatever advantage that clown has was lost days ago. I've followed their listings and it's apparent that somebody failed and miserably I might add, so I will, failed miserably at sales. My guess is they were not as good a friend to get the sets at cost, rather I'm certain they paid a premium, and after all is said and done it will likely be a small gain. I'm not complaining, just found it funny that they don't clue...
I did get through to PB on the third day. The first day, he arrived late, due to snow, and did not take any orders. The second day, I called every 6 seconds for two hrs+ and never got past voicemail. The third day, I got through after about 50 minutes, and mailed out a check the next day. They have not cashed my check, but I did get the generic email notice yesterday, that I am not confirmed, but they have my paperwork.

Had a flipper tell me that he paid almost $400. per coin from whomever he bought his set(s)? Good luck to him as the rest of the sets, whether someone's only set or greedy flipper's mulyiples, hit the market in the days ahead.
I have no intention to flip a thing or to get multiple sets, thereby keeping others from getting the single set they also want. However, practically realistic, these are going to be worth far much more than the purchase price, in all likelihood, in the years ahead, regardless of where silver goes, IMHO. They are the modern collector's version of the $50. Pan Pacs. Over the short term, they will settle at some higher price but lower than the greedy bostards are getting on Ebay now. However, 25-50 years from now......I think will be "wow, grandpa....you have a set of those!!!!"
So, for the APs that make you fill out an application that has a SSN.....
What do you think would happen, if anything, if there were a typo with the SSN? Since buying these aren't going to get you reported to the IRS, there really isn't a SSN crosscheck to worry about, right? Or, do they likely have something to crosscheck with (let's say you transpose 2 digits) and that would make you lose your place in line because of a problematic application?
(I don't have my own business so I don't know if they are likely to easily have something to check SSNs and compare to names/addresses or what)

<< <i>What is the current PCGS census on the pucks? >>
PCGS census has not yet been posted for the ATB pucks.
<< <i>Also, looks like Fidelitrade will be making shipments via FedEx on Tuesdays.... did not specify when they will begin. >>
Let's make sure people are clear on this...it is FedEx EXPRESS SAVER SERVICE (so, not overnight)
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

<< <i>Does PCGS have a new box for the bigger slabs? >>
Remember the old heavy cardboard cases that held 24 longneck beer bottles?
One of those should work.
