The 774k adjustment in Mint Stats came on June 13 for the 09 Unc Sets, and they have not changed since.
We have no idea how many were sold on the final few days.

Just did a "Buy It Now" on eBay for two set's at $36.50 each. Had $4.54 in eBay bucks and $3 for shipping. I'll send one set in for grading and hold the other.
<< <i>Hard to believe the 1931-S has been down graded on the lowest mintage Lincoln list eight places in one years time. >>
The big difference being that the 31-S was "intended" for circulation whereas these high grade Satin Finish Lincolns were not. >>
Neither was the 1996-W dime, but it sells for over $10 with twice the mintage of the 2009 Mint Set cents. And the 2009 bronze cents are type coins, which the 1996-W dime is not.

Ah yes but there was only the one dime....................not eight of them.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
<< <i>anyone want to follow up with the official 2009 mintages? >>
I believe the OP updated his OP with the following (and likely somewhat official numbers):
<< As it stands, the last reported sales figures for the 2009 annual sets are above the levels of last year's sets with the exception of the Silver Proof Set. The tables below show the sales start date, sales end date, and total sales for each set for 2009 and 2008.

I am not familiar with mint set production figures but that is really not a lot of mint sets,is it, especially with the special composition cents in this one?
Just looking at my '07 Red Book, so don't know about 06-08, but if 06-08 are higher mintages, that would make the '09s the smallest mintage since 1963. My Red Book lists the '04 (844K) at $75, so this one would seem to have great potential. I checked eBay a couple of days ago, though, and it looks like they can still be had for very little money. Must be a lot of flippers trying to dump stock.
Imo these will take off sooner or later...with the mints new stategy of giving last chance sales etc. and extending sales of sold out items Like the Boy Scout Proof........... posting waiting lists.........just in case..... that go on for months .....
If the intentions are to screw with flippers.....that's fine...and on these kind of items..I am a flipper, but I do not think that is there goal, I just think that lately they do not have a clue as to what the public wants.................................................................... ............................................... ........................
But if people want to purchase multiples, this looks like the best deal. Combining Bing Cashback and and Big Crumbs and you are getting these much cheaper. Personally, I don't know what to think about these.
Still a decent deal at $1.78 a set for shipping. I would not do it that way and risk getting slapped for overcharging on shipping and 26.99 for the set. thats $28.77 each set!
"Someone bought 10 sets so he must be shipping them for less than $85.00! "
Don't count on it. I placed a bulk order.... the E-Bay auction showed a very low shipping cost. When I went to use their mandatory checkout, it wanted in excess of $10 per set for shipping!!!!!
I have e-mailed the seller per instructions, and received no reply thus far (24 hours).
Looking at their small amount of neg/neutral feedback, some related to the checkout process.

Seller made good, got an e-mail with new link to checkout that produced the desired $30.58 shipping for 30 sets. THis shoudl net me 30 sets at below mint issue price including shipping.
Prices slowly moving up. eBay Buy it Now sales for SEALED BOX sets now start around $+44, ave about $48. Unsealed sets (surely picked over) can be had for about $40.
Summer sales doldrums in full swing too. Will be interesting to watch these in a few months.

I agree in part. I believe a lot of casual collectors are unaware of these. The sad thing is with the Mint's anti-collector promotional club (the twenty two year quarter overload and burnout program, poor quality, poor designs, and higher prices) those much touted "140 million new collectors" are finding new hobbies. Part of the catch and release program I believe.
Still able to pick these sets up on the bay at $30 per sealed box, just bought two sealed sets today (unopened mint boxes) at that price + $6 shipping total. I hope your predictions of increasing value come true.
Are the numbers for the total mintage of these published yet? Curious to see how "rare" these really are. What errors are we looking for here, if any? Post pics if you can....
Onedollar - I stand corrected, my search criteria was off. Deals can still be had for ~$30 + shipping on sealed sets. Thanks for catching that.
The reported mintage remains the same from the Mint. I doubt we will see the REAL mintage until the end of the year.

Still waiting for the final mintage numbers -- have they been released yet by the Mint?

Regardless of mintage, these are still selling for just a couple of bucks over issue price as evidently, that fact that they have the old copper alloy in the cents, means little to folks. Otherwise, at least by now, these should have been getting a bit more over issue price.

I just think the lower mintages would command a higher price and have also been puzzled by the low price and the fact that they don't appear in any ads. Are the dealers hoarding?

<< <i>That's the same mintage posted for weeks now since the "sellout". The Mint may not be releasing final mintages on these for a while.

True, but you can buy all 8 of them for the price of one 1996-W dime. The Lincolns are a much better value IMO.

If the 04 is going for $75 then that should be a good sign for the o9's when the economy picks up. I guess I should have bought more than 3 sets.
<< <i>Must be a lot of flippers trying to dump stock. >>
Possibly they are heavily invested in these sets and they didn't take off as quickly as anticipated.

AMEN to that !
2009 US mint set Greysheet bid is starting out at $28 (Basically issue price).... ask is $31.
Ebay auction end prices for the 2009 mint sets are all over the place. The question is how long before the hoards of these sets start drying up.
(Not mine)

What was the mintage for the 04 sets?
Andy
Sounds like a decent deal to me.
Shipping.........$9.10.........

I have my share, but my original post was premature... looked at incorrect stats ... they are still in the $30+ selling range.
<< <i>I can't believe these 2009 mint sets are still $28 in the greysheet. That is issue price btw. >>
On eBay the sets are selling anywhere from the low $30's to the low $40's, including shipping. There are quite a few available.
