<< <i>I've never used any sort of card protection when sending TTMs, and I've never had anything more than a soft corner.

I just think it lessens the chance of it getting sent back if the guy has to fool with it. I use the peel and stick envelopes for this reason, as well. >>

I 100% agree that I would only use peel and stick envelopes. I know that I wouldn't want to lick envelopes that strange people were sending me.

I got these back today from a IP signing that a board member from SCN got me for $20 apiece. I also had my Joe Morgan RC come back unsigned today from a guy that attended the BAT dinner. I was a little disapointed with that one. He seems like a real pain in the butt to get.

I think his signing habits may have changed. I am pretty sure that if you send him a card now he will keep the card and send you back a signed post card.

I got two really nice returns today. The first is a Berk Ross Whitey Ford RC that was sent with a $35 donation. The second was Big Ben which was sent to his home in PA ($5 donation).

if you still have it, what was the postmark on the ben? Ohio or PA? I believe he uses a ghost signer (likely a parent) as I have recieved a 'success' postmarked from Findlay Ohio during the season. His is an easy auto to fake.

I sent it to his home in PA. It was also postmarked from PA. I just checked my records and I also included a $5 donation, which was cashed. I would hope that he wouldn't take donations and send a fake graph. That would be pretty crummy.

I've gotten 2 TTM's to pass PSA/DNA so I think either you or PSA are wrong.

I received some nice returns today. All of the cards that I was expecting last week plus many others came in today. I will post scans of them over the next few days. These three graphs were all obtained in person by my buddy in CA. The Brett was a PSA 6 crack out and the Maddux is an 87 Topps Tiffany.

That is nice. I think Gale has one of the nicest looking sigs in the industry and strongly considered getting it at the last National because it's so nice to look at. Thanks for sharing.

The Sapp is from a Upper Deck signing that my buddy went to last month. I also traded the same guy for the 85 Moon RC. The Barfield was from a fantasy camp that a SCN board member attended.

These four were all chased down by my buddy in CA. The Mia Hamm is actually a pretty tough graph since she does not do a lot of signings. I believe she was the first female in the soccer HOF. The Larry king is also one on my favorites. His card was actually inserted into a Pro Set hockey set for some reason in the early 90’s.

Thanks to Bill (initialD) I just got back a nice Jerry Rice RC from a private signing that we participated in over at the SCN board. The signing was kind of last minute and Bill hooked me up with a really nice card for the signing. Thanks Bill!!

I received my Guy Lafleur OPC RC (PSA 2 crack out) and McFarlane base signed by Guy TTM. I also included a $10 cash donation. I am pretty sure that he signs for free but I wanted to give him a little incentive to take his time and make sure the card didn’t get smeared. I am extremely happy with how they both turned out. In my opinion it was well worth the donation.

I am willing to bet the person who got the card graded requested no qulifiers. The card has some staining and discoloration. Eitherway it is still a nice looking card for such a low grade. I think I picked it up for around $30.00.

These two game in the mail today through TTM. I am absolutely thrilled with the Walker return. The Graf is also a pretty cool card too. This is her 1987 Fax-Pax rookie card.

Does anyone know if the personalization can be removed with a little TLC since she used a silver paint pen? I have no intention of selling the card but I would rather have it without the personalization for grading purposes. By the looks of the graph it appears that the paint is only on the surface of the card. The card also has a semi- gloss surface. I know a few guys from the message board have had some luck removing personalizations from modern high gloss cards. I was wondering if this is removable without damaging the card??

    John,

    Four more real nice autos.

I know your buddy got them in person, but do you or anyone else have an addy for Testaverde? I grew up a few towns away from him here on Long Island. I have been looking for his addy ... the ones from Long Island and Florida that I found were not current. THANKS.

I have paid anywhere between $5-$65 depending on the player. I have also traded cards/graphs with him for a few of the autos he has got for me. For example, he charged me $40 for each the George Brett and Greg Maddux since they are more difficult to get than lets say, Andre Read and Jeremy Roenick which he sold to me for $10. (both guys will usually sign TTM too"

    Superb group of TTM's!

I saw the Anna Kournikova - looks like she signs it with mostly the A and the K.

For the Texas Holdem fans - they should be familiar with the A - K thing.

    A hand that's tough to play - the Ace/King.

A couple of nice additions to my collection came in the mail today. I have been trying to get my Fergie Jenkins RC signed for several months. I have participated in a couple of signings over at SCN. Unfortunately something has always fallen through and has left me without an auto. I finally decided to spend the extra couple of $ and pony up the $25 fee that Fergie charges. I also included a brand new Staedtler Lumocolor marker with my letter. All I can say is that I am absolutely thrilled that I spend the extra money. He even used the marker I provided and returned it! I would say that at least 95% of the time they will keep the marker.
I also received a nicely signed Ivan Lendl Fax Pax RC in the mail today (TTM).

I had an incredible surprise in my mailbox today. I received my two Joe Montana RC’s back from a private signing that I participated in over at the SCN board. One of the board members at SCN has come through with some incredible signings over the past year which included a signing by Jerry Rice for $25 a card.

This time he set up a private signing with Joe Montana while he was at the GTSM show for $80 a card. The last time Joe signed at the Chicago Sun Times show he was charging $250 per autograph.

I was originally going to only get one card signed. However, I know how easily a signature can get smudged during a mass signing, and I really wanted a good looking signed RC for my collection. I figured I would be safe if I got two cards signed and at least one of the cards would come out nice. Well, I couldn’t have been happier with the results. They both came out perfect!

One of the cards was a PSA 8, that I cracked out, and the other I bought raw from a CU board member (probably at least a PSA 7). If anyone has ever participated in a mail in signing, then they know how easy it is for a card to get damaged during the signing. Both of my cards were obviously handled with great care and they should still grade out a PSA 7 and 8 in my opinion.

I have received these back over the last couple of weeks. I have been kind of busy and haven’t had time to keep up with the scans. The Grimm, Dunston, and Olerud were all obtained free though TTM. The Okoye and Roenick were chased down by my buddy at a charity golf outing for a very small fee.
