I was out of town for a few days and haven't had a chance to update my thread. I got my Aaron RC signed a few weeks ago through a private signing with Steiner. I was a little nervous sending my card into the signing, and I really didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the signature looks. He even used the pen I included with my card. Now I just need to get a signed Mays, Koufax, and Larkin rookie card to complete my living baseball HOF rc collection.

    - 1978 Burger King Alan Trammell
    - 1986 Fleer Sam Perkins
    - 16x20 & 16x24 Bobby Hull

I first want to start by giving Mike (VitoCo) a huge THANK YOU!! He not only got my Slater rc signed for me at a signing out by him, but included a signed Larkin rc with my card when he sent my card back to me. He read in one of my threads that I still needed a Larkin rc to help complete my signed HOF rc collection. Mike sent me the extra one he had free of charge!! I can't thank Mike enough for this very generous gift.

A couple weeks back Bobby Hull did a signing at the Chicago auto show and he added a pretty hilarious inscription. For those of you that don't know, Bobby loves to throw a few back every now and then. The inscription reads, "The only ice I want to see is in my glass!!!"

    - 1992 Pro Set Vijay Singh (TTM 907 Days)

I haven't sent much out TTM lately, so I was pleasantly surprised to find an envelope in my mailbox today. I believe I sent this Singh rc out in my first batch of cards when I first started sending TTM's 907 days ago. It is pretty cool to get a return back after all this time.

I also received back my 57 Topps Bill Russell from PSA last week.

    -2001 UD Jason Richardson
    - 2008 SPX Alexei Ramirez (UD Redemption)

Today was a pretty decent day for my collection. I had some vacation time so I decide to burn a day to chase autographs. Duncan Keith did a free signing this afternoon and he signed both of my Stanley Cup projects I needed him on. A buddy of mine also had a tip where the Orlando Magic were staying while they were in town. I got a few of the players on the way out of the hotel including Dwight Howard! I also received back my Csonka rc that was signed at the CSA show last weekend and a Alexei Ramirez redemption that I sent in a year ago.

    - 16x20 Marian Hossa
Here is my haul from the SunTimes show on Friday and Saturday. I have decided to take on a new project and started the NBA 50 greatest player lithograph. I passed on getting Havlicek and Pippen because their fee was ridiculous IMHO. I also added Marian Hossa to my Stanley Cup photo. It kills me to pay his fee but I didn't want to take the chance of not being able to get him in the future. His autograph is an absolute joke and he should be ashamed to charge people for that chicken scratch. He might possibly have the worst autograph in all of sports. It is almost comical how bad it is.

Hossa was $59 for two lines and a semi-legible 81. Kareem was $100 for cards and $200 for the lithograph.

    - 1989/90 Super Stars of Wrestling Ultimate Warrior
    - 1989 Classic WWF Ultimate Warrior

As some of you might know, I am a huge fan/collector of getting oddball and rare RC's signed by HOF/Star players that I grew up watching as a kid. Saturday night the Ultimate Warrior did a rare signing out here in Chicago. I have known about this signing for the past 10 months and I figured it would be easy finding these two rc's I wanted to get signed. Wow was I wrong, it took me over 8 months to find each of these cards. The 89 Classic also depicts the same picture of the Warrior on there 1990 set which can be easily found. The 89 version is much more difficult to come across. Only 1 or 2 of these cards have shown up on eBay in the past 12 months. After doing some research I found that the Super Starts of Wrestling cards were only released in small numbers in New Zealand.

The signing was at a local PCW wrestling event. The line was ridiculous and went very, very slow. I wound up standing in line for 5 hours, which really sucked. To be honest, if I knew it was going to take so long I probably wouldn't have gone. The Warrior was a super nice guy and spent a good 1-2 minutes talking with every person.

That was your PSA 8 I bought on ebay. I cracked it out of the holder to get signed.

Wow, 5 hour wait in line. Warrior still more popular than I thought. Was it free signing or real cheap? Never been to a wrestling signing, maybe they are much more popular than I thought.

    - 1957 Topps Dolph Schayes
    - 1982 Panini Marvin Hagler (TTM 354 days)
    - 1961 Fleer Jerry West TTM

This had to be one of my best weeks of mail returns in term of quality items. I first want to give a big thanks to SCN boardmember mwparry123 for the great job he did with my NBA 50 Litho at the CSA show last weekend. It is a very large item to lug around to a show. He went out of his way to make sure it didn't get damaged and that it turned out just how I wanted it. Thank You!

I also had an awesome TTM return come in the mail today. I got my 61 Jerry West rc come back after a month of biting my nails in anticipation. I was starting to think I missed the window of opportunity and it wasn't going to get it back. This is easily the most expensive card I have ever sent TTM and I was very reluctant to send it. This is now at the top of my list of my favoritte TTM returns. Getting cards like this back are what keep the hobby of TTM'ing so much fun. You never now when a nice return will be sitting in your mailbox.

My buddy Jes got me some cards signed out in Cali over the past few weeks. He got me a really cool 78 Sportscasters signed by Tommie Smith & John Carlos. He also got me a Stafford and Freeney rc signed at the MJ golf trourney out in Vegas a few weeks back.

I stopped by the Chicago Comic book expo in the hopes to get my 82 wrestling All Stars signed by The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. Unfortunately Dibiase was a no show but I did get his sidekick Virgil on a rc.

Last but definitely not leased was getting Frank Thomas on a few more minor league cards that I need on my rc set. Thomas has been doing some local promotion for his beer over the past few days. Now I just need to get a 87 Auburn Tigers, 90 Best Birmingham, 90 Coca-Cola, 90 OPC, and NNOF to finish off my Thomas rc set.

    - 1954 Topps Bill "Moose" Skowron
    - 2008 Topps Heritage The Dalai Lama

I had an amazing return come back today TTM. It is without a doubt the coolest return I have received back in the 3 years I have been sending out TTM's. After seeing the success that Jmhockey23 had several months back I thought I would give it a shot and sent my card as well as a small donation to His holiness The Dalai Lama. When I saw the envelope sitting in my mailbox today I almost collapsed. After comparing the signature to other PSA examples I am pretty confident it is authentic. I know I've said it before, but returns like this are what makes the hobby so much fun.

I also received back today TTM a 54 Topps rc from Moose Skowron that I sent out late last year.

Jim Abbott was in town a few days ago doing a book signing. He was willing to sign one outside item with the purchase of his book.
