K-Rod had blown one save all season prior to tonight....Lidge blows two saves over a weekend...

Yeah well we haven't played the Nats as often as you guys have.

Your 2 games over 500 without those 10 wins too.

I'll try to explain it to you one more time. The phillies are exactly a 500 club if you take away the 10 wins and 2 losses
    they have against the Nats.

    The Mets are no better.

The NL East is probably the weakest in baseball at the present time.

    Steve
    Good for you.

    36 and 28

    minus 10 wins = 26

    minus 2 losses = 26

Looks like a mediocre record to me.

I stand corrected I earlier stated you were 2 games above 500.

Phillies are the 2008 World Series champions and according to Swartz "The Phillies have the fourth best W/L PCT. in baseball "

The Phillies are great...the Mets suck - Case closed.

The Phillies need to learn how to stay awake after the pitcher issues a walk.

A walk is one base not 2.

So what exactly was your point then?

I guess now the sentence had structure and made sense?

Oh and by the way the Phillies called, they no longer are the 4th best team.

Seems they are mediocre as they have slipped from being the 4th best to now

being the the 8th or 9th best (in 3 days) 1 more loss and 12th best beckons.

    Nah they ain't mediocre......

Like I said two mediocre teams fighting for the divison, they both better

hope the Fish or Braves don't get hot.

Thank God for those 7 wins against the Nats.

If they could they would be in first place above the mediocre Phillies.

Then the mediocre Mets would be 2 games up...

So whats the talk of Johan now? He didnt have many K's last night but pitched well even though he lost, I read Mets brass where thinking he had knee issues because of his previous outing or a blister?

    I guess he is OK?

His former pitching coach Rick Peterson claimed on ESPN that he thought Johan was struggling becuase his knee was bothering him, but Johan emphatically denied that and rhetorically asked "How does he know my knee hurts. The trainer here doesn't know. Not even me." LOL, I thought that was funny. He is OK by all accounts..

Don't feel bad, Mets fans don't know who they are either, the 2nd and 3rd string Mets
are winning more often then the 1st string Phillies. That tells me it will be a long summer in Phily.
