Victorino and Werth too for that matter.

Stevek would like everyone to think that every Phillies player came up through the system.

As for who on the Red Sox would have done the same as Tex did? I'm thinking the CF Ellsberg is his name?

He hustles all the time too. Youk and Pedroia also come to mind.

    I think anyway.

I also think Tex ran hard from 1st to 2nd and as he rounded 2nd hard he must have picked up the 3rd base coach
waving frantically and turned it up yet another notch. Guys like that earn there pay!

    Good for you.

Ahh, I see I still gotta teach some Mets fans the difference between a successful, motivated, productive, winning, free agent player such as Ibanez...and unmotivated, uncaring, lackadaisical, loser mercenaries such as a number of Mets players who often choke and make costly mistakes due to lack of focus and concentration, and their greater desire to pickup their paycheck rather than win championships.

Oh well, I've got more work to do and I'll continue the lessons throughout the season as other examples happen.

    Carry on.

What's truly pathetic around here are the few that really have no idea how

the game is played making comments as if they did.

So basically if the Mets have no depth why is it it took the Phillies extra innings to beat them?

When healthy, and at full compliment the Mets swept the very same Phillies earlier in the year.

I suggest some around here to think before they make ridiculous statements.

Only Stevek is allowed to make such statements.

    Class dismissed.

    I await the 'spin'

The Mets gained another game on the Sillies and their pathetic pitching staff...only a matter of time now, I'm telling ya!

    What a pathetic post.

Too bad you didn't say YOUR team had depth.

You claimed the Mets didn't have any.

Get your facts straight, and then come back.

Like I said you spin at every turn.

oh, by the way, the Mets showed a lil 'depth' today with Nieve.

Maine goes down and Nieve comes up big.

Now go change your diaper and let those that know the game talk.

    //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

So am I to assume that you were talking about your team with the above quote?

That is after all the quote I based my post on.

Not what you may or may not have said 3 months ago.

If that is the case I agree with you, your team has no depth and is pathetic.

Why don't you make it easy for me. I just looked at everyone of your posts in this thread
and see no mention of you claiming the Phillies had depth since day 1.

The only mention is on this very page "depth is... no more Lidge and Ryan takes the role ..."

Of course that was not the quote I based my post on. If it was I'd have quoted it.

Nice try though I give you an F for effort.

lol i don't know, this is the first time that you have mentioned them.

What part of my quoting you and posting don't you understand?

It is very easy to know throw up names like you been saying them all along.

    truth is you have not.

I agree your team has no depth and is pathetic.

What do you mean saying all along...

that is the depth of the Phillies...

    Damn you are an idiot...

awhile back you mentioned the Mutz were playing with triple A players...(making excuses...as to why they were losing)

well the Phillies bring theirs up and still win...

CANT SAY IT ANY MORE CLEARER THAN THAT...

"have I been saying that all along"...

you need a new full time job...now take your bag/ball and go home support your team that is losing pathetically...

    OUT...

Well I just checked the other thread and again your first mention of "d

    is on page 14

    Hardly since day 1.

can't even be confused with your day 1 in the thread.

And to be honest the post was an incoherent blurb addressed to no one in which you said:

    It's called having depth...

lol whatever that means. Did it mean your team had depth? Did it mean the Mets lacked depth? I don't know

I can say it was not what i based my post on. I based my post on and as to not confuse you or anyone I quoted you.

The funny thing is I was not making excuses that day when i said

"some here would say that their team was still winning even with a grapefruit type lineup".

Of course you misunderstood my meaning at that time. But then again I can see how it could be taken that way.

The fact of the matter is the Mets were winning 7 out of 10 at the time. And even with said lineup were only a few games out.

I was simply replying to Stalin and what he would have said as an excuse

If you go back and re read it it may penetrate, then again it may not.

I'll give you a hint it is not even in this thread.

Wasn't really that bad of a loss today by the Mets...only two touchdowns including a two point conversion...they just need a quarterback and a few receivers to catch the football and they'll be okay.
