<< <i>Career win number 256 for Moyer. Nice.

I'll admit...Moyer continues to pleasantly surprise me...I don't know how he gets 'em out his pitches look so easy to hit...but I guess it goes to show ya what a "pitcher" can do versus a 'thrower".

Was that Cole's response to the Doc trade rumors? What a beast, should of pitched the 9th, but Chuck is stubborn. Shouldn't our closers ERA be less than
    7.70? Ho hum, another win.

The Phillies 'steal' Doc from Toronto they will be in a very good place.

But we all know that the Phillies do not steal other teams players, right?

The Phillies have been one of the cheapest teams in the league over the years, but have created a moster team from the farm club and a brilliant move getting
Ibanez. Halladay would be an epic move and give us a shot at winning at least two more rings....is that worth trading away your future? I think so. As
you all know the window doesn't stay open forever. Of course I though the Blanton move last year was weak, he has proved to be solid. Phillies just need to
    get it done.

The Yankees started it, and the Mets began the same thing some years later. Yes, the Phillies finally decided to get into the game and compete for some players, but obviously the Phillies sign better players than the Mets, and work their farm system far better than the Mets.

Mets fans may think this is just a one year aberration them being out of the pennant race by July...don't look now but until their management changes, this will go on and on for quite some time.

The Mets are in serious trouble for the foreseeable future...and ain't that a crying shame.

The Indians are a bunch of flipping morons... they're like a farm system for the Major Leagues. Nice pick-up Philly! Hope you win it all again this year!

Yeah, there goes some more talent from the Indians to the Phillies, for nothing in return. Brings back memories of Thome. Oh well, good for the Phillies! At least SOMEONE can use the Indians' great players.

Wow, I was expecting a beat down tonight, but I didn't expect the Giants to be the ones dishing it out!

    Welcome to SF!

I figured that the Giants would at least get 1 out of this series (Saturday), but if the Phillies are gonna play like this, I'm happy to be proven wrong!

Phillies have the best front office in MLB - not even debatable in my view!

What a great signing...the Phillies avoid signing overpaid, unmotivated mercenaries like the Pets always seem to do.

I'm sure it wasn't because the Cowboys finished with a 13-3 record that year and in first place, while the Eagles finished 8-8 and in 4th place.

...Tony Romo still weeps and the Mets still suck.

But the good news. Jerry Jones has found a sponsor for the new stadium.

Just glance back through the last few posts to see who brought up the "trip way back" to 1996 in order to deflect my original post about every one of the Eagle fans whimping out and not accepting my bet.

Sorry man, that's some major deflection.

Fact, a bet was laid down.

Fact, not one Eagle fan took it. Was it because they didn't see it? Or, was it because the Eagles sucked and the fans knew it?

My money is on the latter.

I would also like to say, it doesn't matter that none of you guys accepted my bet whatever the reasons may be. It's over and done with.

However, if a sigline bet is to be made this season between Cowboys and Eagles fans, it should be made before the first game of the season. That way there will be no excuse for either party to not accept the bet.

The teams don't play till week 9 but the bet will be in place. Also, if the week 9 bet is made, the losers should have the opportunity for revenge the last week of the season

Well then lay out the sigline bet terms in a separate thread around a week before the NFL season begins, and we'll take a look at it.

I just don't think I want it to be for too long of a time period if losing...having a Mets or Braves logo in my sigline while distasteful, doesn't bother me a ton...but having a stinkin' Dallas Cowboys logo in my sigline would devastate me worse than a bad case of the swine flu, so I can't have the losing time frame being too long.....

.....I might have a mental and emotional breakdown, and I'm already demented enough without that. image
