It's been 3 months since I have been able to add to the '52 set. Mr. Bollweg brings the number to 181 of the different cards I have autographed from the '52 Topps set. Card is not in great shape, but still happy to pick up this one.
Edited to add: I just looked at my first post. Can't believe it's been over 6 years since I started this '52 project. It's as much fun today as it was on day 1.

Every time this thread pops up I'm amazed all over again. Really cool project and quite an accomplishment to get as far as you have. Congrats on the new pickup.

+1 Doug, keep up the great work. Love seeing this thread bump with new additions.
Thanks guys. Always nice to get a new one to add to the set. Would be nice if I could add a few more over the summer.

Thanks Mike. It is going to be a life long project.
I just started collecting the set when "Rube" (it is really his son who took over his dad's persona when he died) sold his autographed 52s. At that point I was not sure if I was going to jump "all in" with the set. Man, I wish I bought those, because he had some real good ones.
IIRC, I've only seen two Mantles up for sale. One was purchased by a fellow board member.

Still looking for some more autographed 52s. I also started the '82 Donruss set in autographed form around the same time as I did the '52 set. Probably have over 400. Almost purchased 30+ the other day, but not sure if I want to add to the set.

I'm not collecting the red/black back variations for my autographed '52 set, but I was able to pick this one up so cheaply that I decided to add it to my collection. I already have the red back sitting in a PSA slab.

Doug, those Jefferies cards are awesome. That is is a beautiful signature. Players of today should take note! I recently did a junk wax rip of 89 Donruss and Fleer and pulling his cards put a smile on my face. Brought back memories of how excited 12 year old me would have been to pull those cards.

Interested in higher grade vintage cards. Aren't we all.

Shane ... Torgeson died 25+ years ago. I bought the card already graded. When I first started this thread 7 years agoit was only about my TTMs. But since I have pretty much stopped TTMs a few years back, I include all my newly acquired autographed cards in this thread.
BTW ... I Believe that Jefferies was a new record for me. MIGHT be 1 or 2 others that were longer.
