Do not rip the card. Take the advice from the person above. Sell now while it is at it's zenith. Then wait to buy a rip card down the line. People will pay more for that "chance". You can use the extra money to recoup your costs.
I wonder why some of the autos are horizontal and others are vertical? Wouldn't it make mores sense to have them all oriented the same way? Or are the horizontal an autograph subset?

I got two boxes for $159. I don't plan to buy any more. I've still never pulled a rip card. I don't think I had ever pulled a numbered card from A&G until today.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason. Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason. My Pirates Collection
1) The base set is beautiful, more of a painted look this year. The black bordered mini set looks very nice. 2) The no number minis are hand numbered to 50 this year..WOW great improvment. 3) Autos don't have a window but the relics do. 4) Rip cards can't be searched 5) Almost 40% of my base cards were damaged with lines running down the middle. 6) Most of the time the hits came from the same row 7) The mythical creature minis are BEAUTIFUL 8) The highlight sketch insert set is very nice, however it is almost exactly the same as Upper Deck's masterpiece! Maybe they are getting even for O pee chee? 9) The crack the code cards look to be big card parallels. The back are the same as the base cards but there are ruins along the sides.
Wow I really like what I am seeing. Cant believe they hand numbered the no number mini's someones hand must have been tired after that. I am also digging the landscape autos. Thanks for sharing.
There are some nice improvments this year. Hand numbering the no number minis adds value right off the bat. There is an invention mini set that appears to be really rare. I got only 1 in my case.
I also liked the way topps did the autos, there is still the group A guys which many of us won't ever pull, but everyone else is in the group B, which means that 3 of your 5 autos in a case won't be Matt Kemp (sorry Geordie)! This gives you a real shot at all the "champions" which many of us chase in this set.
Besides the horried condition of these cards (I also think all 27 of my crack the code cards are damaged), this product is a winner.
I am stuck in a hotel for a few days (work related) but I will be sneaking away to pick up a case that has been reserved for me. I will be cracking this in my hotel room tomorrow night. I love ripping this product every year! For those that know me, I will trade anything I pull towards anything on my want list. Most of the things on my wantlist are vintage Topps but I also have some new Heritage needs that I recently added.
