Thanks again Craig! What a group effort. I have never done a group sub, so I only sent in a few, but I am already compiling for the next one. Bye the way, I will be in Vegas for the first round too. If you have never been for the tournament you are in for a treat. Have fun and I will see you in the sportsbook.

    Atta boy Craig.

How heavy was the package? I'll take any numerical input at this point.

Make sure you get a pic of the box/boxes that PSA sends back after the cards are graded. That'll be an interesting sight!

Is this a website to guess how heavy the return package is? LOL

  • I really don't like the idea of Craig being in Vegas with my prized possessions. I can see him at the craps tables throwing out 1988 Donruss Dale Murphy's as bets or betting my stack of 1987 Topps commons on black on the roulette table.

I'm going to have to do more than bump this to get it back from page SIX. Yikes. Try to keep this toward the top while I'm out of town, please. I'm not taking my laptop on vacation, so I won't be able to keep this on the first page myself. image

Oh...and the cards arrived at PSA today. image If they're logged in today, I'll post the order number and share it. Nobody will be able to see it but me until it pops, but I know a few people like to click refresh all day anyway.

If they're not logged in today, I'll try to get the order number posted here somehow while I'm out of town.

May all your grades be 10's...and your women, too.

Gumby, Buy a futures ticket for the Royals to win the Central division.
Just a tip, they'll be a lot better than most people think and the odds should be 12-1.

Good call! I'm actually picking a few different division winners. If one or two of them pay off, I'll do alright. Besides, I'd rather have my bet last the entire baseball season than lose it in a few hands of blackjack. image

  • I fully expect to get the highest percentage of 9's and lowest percentage of 10's based on the total number of cards submitted per person.

After I scanned the cards I sent Craig, I think 3 out of the 8 may be 9's.
  • I jsut got back my boxes of neverending 1981 Topps baseball PSA 9's from my lat sub. Funny how they look more like 9's when they are in PSA 9 holders when they looked like 10's before they were slabbed.

This should be some interesting poppage for me?

I subbed a diversity of about 50 different non-sports material (mostly european/some american) from the 30s and 50s, a 1978 Topps Johnnie LeMaster, pulled from wax, immpossible to locate in high grade, and a lot of (12) '86T BB, from my CU group rip (wax, cellos & rack)!

My 66 card sub will be a test for the graders, for sure!!!

Good luck to me (and all who participated here!)... image

Yes, Craig grabbed them on his way from Vegas to Arizona. Small detour and he picked them up. They are sitting in the trunk of his rental car in the hot Arizona sun.

Just so I can feel like I'm checking the sub 100 times a day, Gumby should copy and paste that stupid "still being processed" message several times a day just to make us feel at home.

Neil had 60 non-sports cards in our last group sub and Joe said what many suspected. One modern baseball grader gets the entire order and grades all the modern baseball cards. Then the order is sent to let's say a modern football grader and he/she grades the football. then the vintage grader comes in. Then the non-sport grader. Each time it switches hands, the order starts at the back of the line again.
