I love the 84 OPC Murphy's. I've got my eyes on both of those. Maybe one of the Mattingly's will score a 10. That would be a big hit, I believe that is around a pop 6, if so that would net some cheese for you.
<< <i>Hey Bill, I'm sending in 2 Don's and both Dale Murphy cards too
Let's battle to see who's are GEM TENNER!!
P.S. - Craig, if mine come back 8's I know you switched with Bill's >>
That's why I made sure to sub everyones cards in the order they were received in last group sub instead of putting them all in order of years and brands.
If you submit cards of players like Bob Geren and Mitch Williams, you don't have to worry about someone subbing the same card. You also don't have to worry about selling them either, its like a win win situation where you actually don't win
<< <i>That's why I made sure to sub everyones cards in the order they were received in last group sub instead of putting them all in order of years and brands. >>
That's definitely the way to do it. I'm sure there will be multiples of certain cards considering 1200+
There were multiples in last group sub and would have had issues if they were subbed in order of years. Had two 1989 Fleer Ripken FF. One was a 6 and the other a 10 (the 10 was mine ). A few basketball multiples would have been an issue too. One got an EOT and the other a 10.
Have no fear...I have no plans to sort the submission by years, sport, player or anything else. While I believe it would speed up the turnaround time to sort all cards received by sport and by year, I don't want anyone to think I've mixed anything up.
Yep. Bought a few boxes last month. The boxes looked horrible but the packs and cards were in good condition. One box had horrible centering and most cards were tilited.
Up early on sunday morning, just saw a infomercial ad fro the point and paint. A very useless contraption that someone will buy. My favorite part is where they tell you that it comes with a "Swivel Pole Adapter". Is it just me or would this not make a great name to an adult movie?
If the cards are shipped by the 6th, they should be logged in by the 10th or 11th. With a 45 business day turnaround, grades should pop on or before May 13th.
I received 10 more packages in Saturday's mail. I PMd all of the people whose cards I have received and I've just updated the first post in this thread to reflect all of those participants whose cards are here.
So far, I've got 753 cards from 24 different participants. I'm expecting 20-25 more participants and about 600 more cards based on PMs I've received.
Thanks again to everyone who is participating. I'm still on track to get this submission out on Friday. I'm not going to be scanning any of the cards, but plan to take a few pictures of the "war room" before the cards get shipped out.
I did, however, decide to scan one of the lists that was sent with one person's cards. After "logging in" 600 cards or so, this was the laugh I needed!
Monday morning, in case no one noticed. My new tradition is 'say something bad about the person who I have intrusted my most valuable common cards from the early 90's'
The only thing sadder and sicker than having one Gantner Master set is having TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only received one package in my mailbox yesterday, unfortunately. There are a bunch waiting for me at the post office and at the management office where I live that I'm picking up tonight. I'm getting out of work early today to pick everything up.
For those who have sent cards, but haven't paid yet, please make your payment no later than Thursday so that I can withdraw the funds to my checking account right away. I want the funds to be available when PSA deposits the payment.
18 more packages received today! I'm about to start going through them, but will be stopping in about 20 minutes for a quick game of MLB 09 The Show against a friend online. Once I win the game ( ) I will be back with updated numbers.
PS3...I've never played online before, but my friend went out and bought a PS3 today because this game got such good reviews. I don't have any other games other than some baseball and football demos that I've downloaded. I got the PS3 for the blu-ray player. I liked last year's demo for MLB 08 The Show, so I picked up 09 today when it came out.
I've just finished going through and verifying the contents of the 18 packages I received today. I logged some of them in to the submission form, and should finish with the cards I have in hand right now by tomorrow. As of today, I have received 1,274 cards for the submission! There are a few last minute additions that are still in transit, but we're still on track to get the cards out to PSA by the end of the week.
Last call...if you want to be in the group submission and are willing to send your cards to me by overnight mail, please contact me ASAP.
Including the ones in transit, my own cards, and some that are being dropped off or picked up in person tomorrow or later this week, we have over 1,400 cards on the submission.
If you haven't already paid or made payment arrangements for the cards you're sending, please do so ASAP. Thanks!
Craig
p.s. A few of you have included gifts for me with the cards you've shipped. While it is completely unnecessary, it is appreciated and I thank you!

Received one package in the mail and made a local pickup. There's at least one package waiting for me at the rental office which I'll get tomorrow evening.
I have 1,328 cards in hand and the new total is 1,425 cards. There's one more batch of cards being delivered, so that number will go up a bit.
I've had a few last minute requests, so the deadline has been extended to MONDAY. I will be shipping the cards out on Monday evening, so if you were previously turned away and would like to participate, please get your cards out today! I am sorry for the short notice, but as long as the cards are to me by MONDAY, they will go out that same day.
If you are going to take me up on this, please contact me ASAP so that I can give you an alternate mailing address based on how you plan to mail them. If you are able to mail cards out today via Express Mail, guaranteed to arrive tomorrow, I will give you my P.O. Box. If you are shipping via FedEx or want to take a chance with Priority Mail, I will give you my work address. Lastly, if you ship tomorrow via Express Mail for delivery on Saturday, I will have you ship to my home address since I will be there to accept the packages.
To everyone who already has cards to me, I apologize for postponing the mailing.

<< <i>I've got 5 OPC cards in my sub. Is anyone else subbing any OPC too? >>
I've got a couple 72 OPC's, Killebrew and Yaz both IA's.
Also some 84 OPC, Mattingly's, Murphy's, and others.
And I think a 77? OPC Stan Mikita
First time subbing OPC's, pretty curious to see the grades.
Isn't the turnaround time 5 days guaranteed?
Yount. It's the single nicest card out of 11 boxes of 86 OPC.

<< <i>Puddy, does the 11 boxes mean that you have a few 86 opc sets for trade or sell? >>
As soon as I sort them I'll have about 3 or 4 full sets.
Bill,
Those are some SWEET 84's. No (or minimal) tilt! Tough to find like that.

I'm starting to think this is nothing but a big scam.

<< <i>I must require that Craig scan all my cards other than the 84 OPC I already posted. I already forgot what I subbed. >>
