2009 ULTRA HIGH RELIEF GOLD COIN 1 $1,189.00 $1,189.00 1 unit shipped on 03/09/2009
Ordered:
Order Date: 01/22/2009 at 06:08 PM
Of course the tracking number doesn't work >>
What kind of tracking number is it? If mailed to a PO BOX there is a different site to go to to track it - these tracking numbers are usually 22 digits long and CAN be tracked but you have to do the secret move!!!! No kidding!
Here we are on First Strike Eve, and I still don’t have my UHR even though I ordered within 30 minutes of its release.
The Mint sucks. Mint Boy Moy sucks. Pitney Bowes sucks. All of you are pathetic. None of you can manage your way out of a wet paper bag. Your performances are disgraceful and deplorable.
It amazes me that none of you can ship 30,000 coins in 48 days, or 35 business days since god forbid that you work on a weekend. Most companies would have finished shipping in about a day, maybe two.
Even more sickening than your apathy and disrespect is your lack of communication. It’s incredible! One would think you people were covering up an Alien spacecraft landing.
Unbelievable! Hey, you little monkeys, get with the program, grow up, and grow a pair otherwise resign. You are all an embarrassment to Americans!
Only the resignations of Boy Moy and Timmy Tax Cheat Geithner will suffice as a sacrificial offering to appease the fiery rage of my anger.
The Mint’s performance and behavior is abhorrent, void of competence, and overrun with apathy.
This does not bode well for a country with a government promoting the nationalization of health care, banks, insurance, and other fundamental industries.
Accordingly, let the phrase ‘In God We Trust’ be forever stricken from our currency and be replaced by the phrase ‘God Help Us’ or simply ‘Save Our Souls (SOS)’.
Just to add a little non UHR (but related) news. I checked on my Presidential Proof subscription (100 units) and it hasnt been shipped. I talked to a rep at PBGS and she stated that she had "No idea why they havent shipped". She went on to say that they were not even in a stage that they were being checked or credit cards were being checked. In other words, that order was just plain ignored.
Subscriptions are supposed to be filled first (just like the FIFO fiasco with the UHRs). Not only was it not shipped out first, it wasnt looked at, registered in their system (although they do have an order number), etc..

Well I ordered inthe first three hours. My credit card expired in February. I updated the new expiration date on the mint website three weeks ago. I called once they said the order was fine, it was backorded like all the others. I called numerous times and no answer by the mint. (As a lot of you did.) Now when website order tracking system is finally back up, my order is "on hold." So I call them and they tell me its been flagged for cancellation. No e-mail, no notice at all. They updated the credit card today and thereby stopped the cancellation. What are the odds it gets shipped tommorrow? Next to nil.
If I hadn't repeatedly tried to fix the problem by phone over the last three weeks, I would not be upset. The credit card expired a few weeks after I ordered it, so my fault if I did nothing. In any case, I suppose I am out of luck for the FS designation.

Haven't seen too many of these posted here. Thought I'd show off mine. I got it on Friday I think the people that are selling these for $3,000 are selling them too cheap.
I figured I had nothin to lose. So, I decided I wasn't gonna take 'no' for an answer. These inept zombies would have to give me a legitimate tracking number or hang up on me to get rid of me. I called the Mint's toll free number, spoke to a Rep, and as soon as she wanted to hang up, I told her I wanted to speak with her supervisor. This request is obviously the kiss of death for them because they will do everything in their power to prevent you from speaking to a supervisor.
But I wasn't gonna take no for an answer. So, the Rep transferred me to a "Floor Something Or Other". The Floor people don't like it when you talk, so they do everything in their power to prevent you from talking, and they will not transfer you to anybody else. After a long discussion and many lies, the Floor lady put me on hold for at least ten minutes while she 'tried to find a Supervisor'. After returning to the phone with no Supervisor, she warned me that she had to hang up and promptly did so.
According to my cell phone, 1 Hour 26 Minutes and 20 Seconds. Think you can beat it?
This wasn't a game, at the beginning. I just wanted my coin. Having unlimited minutes, bluetooth wireless, and a fully charged cell phone, it was really easy to multitask while having them on the phone. But now, game on! So, I encourage anybody to take up the challenge. This is the only recourse that the Mint and Pitney have given us which is to call the 800 number. They don't reply to emails or faxes with the exception of Mbogoman, so if they want us to call then we will call. Their game is to repeat the same crap over and over about April 24th and six to nine months. My game was to repeat the numerous 'confirmed' email shipping dates and their disregard for their own FIFO policy.
As far as I'm concerned, we have just now begun to fight.

I had exactly the same experience with my UHR bumanchu! I ordered it on the second day and recieved it last week. The coin was rattling around in the display box as well but it was safe inside its capsule. As for the grade, mine would not get a 70 either. But I am happy with it the way it is. I was really impressed with the rosewood box.
In an insane society, a sane person will appear to be insane.
Order# 308567XX received yesterday and sent off the PCGS this morning. It came in the white box, left on doorstep.
I ordered at 01/22/2009 at 04:56 PM according to the mints web site.
Do you think they will send the capsule back with the coin? I thought it would be neat to put another coin in it, the magnetic case it kind of cool and I only got to play with it for a few minutes before it got sent out for grading.
We will see if die polish lines prevent PCGS from grading coins as MS70 as I have 2 in at the moment - they both looked awesome but there is no denying that they have that certain surface. I have sent dozens of spouse coins to NGC with these same fine lines and they are coming back ms70 all the time. We know PCGS is better though! I will convert all of my business to PCGS if my 2 UHRs come back as MS70s (w/die polish)
