Me too! Mine was in 2 minutes after yours.

  • << <i>Still no UHR, and I ordered at 12 minutes after they came out. My boss and sister have theirs, already on the way tp PCGS.

Mint deserves a BIG YOU SUCK for this mess. >>

It seems hopeless at this point. I cannot imagine that they would NOT ship them if they had them in stock, and it appears that they are fully aware of the March 11 deadline. Therefore, I can only conclude that they have none in stock if they don't ship them today or tomorrow.

The real HEARTBREAKER would be if the Mint shipped your UHR on March 12th. And with my luck, this will be the case.

  • << <i>Just an experiment - received 2 UHRs last week. Called the US Mint number to track my received orders and they say that they are "In process". So, I guess even when there isn't a problem, the information from the automated tracking program is uselss.

    Jeff >>

THIS is even funnier when you do it yourself. I couldn't resist the temptation, but sure enough my SHIPPED order is still IN PROCESS according to the Mint's automated tracking system.

WHAT A JOKE! This isn't even a second class operation. It's barely a third class operation.

My CC wasn't hit until two days after I received my ship notice email from the USMint. >>

My card wasn't charged until two days after I received the coin (order 30827787). Submitted in person to PCGS on 3/6 at their monthly "Public Friday".

  • It appears many have received their UHR that was ordered within the first 60 minutes of the release, but I am curious.

Has anybody received their UHR that was ordered within 30 minutes of the release?

22 minutes after (30827***), still nothing, but like I posted Friday, I was able to confirm the order is still in their system.

  • Wow, I can't believe there are still some of you that ordered in the 1st 30 minutes and still have not rec'd your coin. That's just crazy!

I sent two letters to the Mint in DC last week, let's see what bs they come back with. Explained the whole ordeal regarding FIFO which we all know didn't and isn't the case.

Can't track any of my orders at the mint but today I got a USPS Priority Mail package from PBGS It's even has delivery confirmation.
Did not have to sign for it just get it out of the oversize locker at the Post Office and walk out the door.
Guess what I am not going to open it and take it down to Portland and let my friends from PCGS open it for me on Friday.
I would tell you what I think it is but why???

well, they took the fifo language off the UHR page, but that was a committment to you when you ordered. it still applies to you.

  • Where is Bill Ayers when you need him?

  • Can I still open my package and still qualify for first strike if i send them out by the 11th, or do they have to receive it by the 11th?

    thanks

I received the email that it is shipping, Dont really care about first strike so I will see what the market dictates. Maybe sell and buy another since I should be first strike eligible.

Has anyone received a shipping email tonight from the mint?
  • thanks Morrisine for the quick answer.

This is my first submission with PCGS. Have always gone with the other company in the past.

One other question, I have a voucher for 4 free submission. Do these include the first strike fees and can I mix with other coins that are not first strike to complete the 4 free submission offer. Submit different forms for FS and non-first-strike?

    My vouchers have no specifics?

    thanks

I emailed and faxed Director Moy over a week ago, describing in detail the UHR fiasco from ordering snafus and multiple erroneous expected ship date emails to the complete breakdown of FIFO (with example order numbers and dates). I haven't heard anything back.

Even though I have received my UHR, I am still extremely disappointed in how this whole thing has transpired. I can't believe that there are still first hour orders that haven't been fulfilled. Even worse is the mint's silence. It's as if they think that if they don't admit to the problem, it doesn't really exist. Reminds me of ostriches with their heads in the sand...

I ordered mine at about 12:45. It was sitting by my door in my (secure) apartment building when I got home from "out of town" on Thursday. It had been signed for by "someone." The capsule was not in the holder. Drove my two down to PCGS on Friday for walk-in day. Got the email from PCGS today. Hoping for good grades...

That would be great if the Mint makes some sort of appropriate response to the calls you guys made over the last six weeks. But, as I said before, I'm skeptical. As long as the mint is basically the single source for it's products, it will be hard to get people to boycott or whatever.

sorry for the blank post... (still having login problems).

i submitted my uhr w/other coins using my voucher.
the first strike coins must be submitted on a separate form by themselves.
you must calculate postage/insurance and add the $14.00 on that form .

the other coins should be submitted on a separate form, calculate their shipping and insurance cost on that form . indicate the voucher number on both forms.

mail both forms and all coins together (they must arrive in one mailing for the voucher). this was explained to me by pcgs some time ago, and i have not yet ecountered any problems with my submission. but i would follow the earlier post and call customer service and ask...
    try pcgs faq here!!!

ORDER TRACKING IS BACK ONLINE !!
  • Just to add another data point, I received my order yesterday (Monday). Ordered around 3 the first day. Arrived via UPS in a white box, no signature required. No book. FWIW I never called Customer Service for status updates, etc.

Coin looks great! Obverse has the standard(?) die polish lines, and the "belly button" is present. Coin was in the completely closed capsule, which was in the insert at a slight angle.

What is PCGS's stance on the somewhat shoddy packaging that these coins are being shipped in? If someone received their coin pre-03/11 but doesn't submit for FS until after the deadline, will PCGS recognize the unopened package for what it is or does the fact that the bottom isn't taped on these jeopardize the FS potential?
