Pretty busy working these days so I apologize for lack of updates. But this was a fun one for my Red Sox set. Rick Ferrell HOF RC - from eBay. I usually don't go for pre-war but I had to pick this one up.

Always nice to get an 80+ year old card autographed! Nice addition to your PC.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Nothing better than posting a completed piece! Just received it (and the card) back from Bobby Orr today. It's missing Ed Westfall and Ken Hodge but since I've run out of real estate, I'm calling it finished. The 1969-70 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins!

See this is why I won't make my set registries private. I really enjoyed going through your TTM collection. Being a Buffalo guy I like the McAdoo floor board. And it was cool to see the progression of the '69 Bruins guide (even though I hate them ;-) ).

Just curious, I went to check out the podcast and see you haven't done it since the beginning of the year is that it for you or just on a seasonal hiatus?

Hey, sorry to bother you, but I just bought a house this year and mu husband and I found a signed golf ball. I'm sure it's nothing/no one important, but we can't read the signature/autograph. Before I posted a picture I wanted to ask if it would be a bother to have you read it maybe? It's a Titleist 3 (forgive me I don't know if that's relevant), and says pro v1x on the side. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards and Many Thanks,

@Ahmanfan Sorry I just saw that you responded. Here is a picture (or a link to some). Like I said it could be a nobody, but I wanted to be sure since it's an old house. Thank you in advance though. You guys are sweet to help. I'll have to post a link. There are 4 picture of the ball here. Honestly I couldn't read the name well myself so I hope you guys can and 5hat the pictures quality isn't a hindrance.

@Ironmanfan Lol I'm glad to have resurrected the thread then. 😅 It said he was on a day or so ago so that is one reason I asked him lol

A Mike sighting! Glad everything is good with you. I loved this thread (and the Bruins media guide is still my favorite.)

as a golf graph hound myself, i thoroughly enjoyed this trip down memory lane. the anecdotes tied to the ink are fabulous. vito here's hoping you still own those flags, because they are nothing short of spectacular. my hometown is the birthplace of Billy Maxwell, and the municipal course named after him is where i went from being a complete and utter hacker to a pretty decent player. so to see his big, bold signature w/ year inscription on your u.s. amateur flag is quite special.

Still have all the golf balls and some of the flags. Have all the media guides and baseballs. Been adding basketballs. I started getting into signed original movie posters and artist signed comics too. Life changes but addiction to collecting things doesn't (better than alcoholism I guess). I'll post some when I get a minute. All the cards gone though (except some raw ones I never got a chance to submit - if anyone is doing signed HOF Rookie sub, LMK - would love to move those but have to be graded).

Actually I do still have all the 1968-1971 Topps signed hockey sets because I liked them so much. 1971 is complete :) I'd probably move the 1969 and 1970's (Which are both like 10-12 away from completion if someone wanted the ultimate head start. The 1968 hockey is just so pretty and I haven't moved them.

RE: the golf ball. Man, I'm stumped. Sorry to say. What era is this from? Early 90's?

@VitoCo1972 Love the movie reference!!! (I dislike “None of the Above”).

And I may have just found the room I want to die in!!!

    Thanks for sharing!

Great room Mike. One note if I may.....you're a little low on Yankee items.

  • galaxy27galaxy27 Posts: 8,048 ✭✭✭✭✭

    highly impressive ball collection @VitoCo1972

Tiger, Vijay & Phil on that one row alone.............for the nongolfer wondering how difficult it is to get those 3 to sign golf balls, it would be easier to get Willie Mays to do a tiktok video with you

Idk if this is meant for me or not, but if it was I have no clue. Like I said I bought an older house (multiple owners) and found it here while cleaning up all the nooks and crannies.
I'm sure it's no one important lol I just wanted to look into it before I tossed it (like gave it to a resale shop, not the trash).

    Thanks anyway though.
