    I sent both money. HA!

And Bobby, I have a Dwight Evans RC completed with all three already. I'm working on those Red Sox team sets.

  • Great stuff. The 1951 Topps Magic Janowicz is a beauty. Worth the $200 . I sent out a 1951 Topps Magic Babe Parilli to get authenticated. There is a couple notable names. How much did Cassady and Crouch want?
  • VitoCo1972VitoCo1972 Posts: 6,128 ✭✭✭
Between the mail and going over to Riviera for the Northern Trust Open practice day yesterday, lots of stuff to post. Too much to type out piece by piece, but here are the pictures. I'll put all the golf tournament stuff at the end. Was stoked to finally get Jerry West on a RC at the tournament. And the Kershaw rookie came back TTM from a request I sent LAST Spring Training. Going to send it to PSA out of curiosity. The Bob Dee was an eBay purchase. I'm sending to PSA as well. I'm hopeful! Set Archie Griffin $25 and came back personalized. That was really annoying.

On the multi golf flags, I added Matt Kuchar to both Players Championship flags. Just missing Henrik Stenson on the nearly complete one. Euro Ryder Cup flag I added Peter Hanson, Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and Nicolas Colsaerts

Hi Mike, I'm new to the forum and have enjoyed seeing all your great items in this thread.
I noticed about a year ago that you had a success through the mail with former NBA player BILL HEWITT. I have been needing his signature to complete a piece that I am putting together. Could you please help me with an address for him?
I really appreciate any help. If you want to email me directly, it is: jared72@netzero.com

Quite frankly, this isn't a card I ever thought I'd own. And if it hadn't been for a very unexpected severance payment from one of the movies I was working on, I wouldn't have ever been able to afford it (all is well, I have other movies to do post production on - but I guess that's implied since I used the money to buy a freaking card).

Negotiated a deal over a couple weeks with a California dealer who was selling it on consignment. It's by far and away the priciest card in my collection - which has a lot of stuff in it but not a ton any really big money cards. And I'll probably be taking a few months off from sending stuff in for signings etc just so my nut on the hobby isn't stupidly high this year.

Without further adieu. Pop 2 and the other is Auth also. BTW, that's not a pinhole. It's some dust in the scanner. I'm probably going to send it in for number grading. I think it'd be a 6ST or a 4.

Went down to Newport Beach today. As always, the guys on the Champions Tour are super nice. Only bummer was that Tom Watson was signing golf balls for the first time in 10+ years of collecting them and I didn't bring one. Was a shame but didn't let it ruin the day.

Also got a couple of Hockey HOF RCs back from signings - 1953 Parkhurst Harry Howell and 1951 Parkhurst Edgar LaPrade. Plus another 1968 Topps Glenn Hall from the same signing.

I'm gradually working on a Heisman rookies set (that's admittedly unfinishable) but a buddy of mine has a connection to a connection of Tim Tebow and was going to see him and asked if I needed anything done. So I sent in the rookie that's on the registry - 2010 Topps Chrome. Came out nice and I'm stoked!

Also have to sau thanks to my biddy Joe Bird who had promised to get John Hannah to sign this SI for me but he wound up paying for it at a signing and send it to me. Joe is a great guy!

Finally, I was so excited to pick up the Merlin Olsen 2005 Topps AA. It's the toughest of the attainable ones. I'll definitely get to 88/91 now. if only I could figure out a way to get Ed Marinaro to sign his!

    FOOTBALL
    2010 Topps Chrome Tim Tebow
2005 Topps All American Merlin Olsen (SCN purchase)
2005 Topps All American Anthony Davis (SCN purchase)

I had my father in law who lives a few minutes from Chantilly go for me. Wasn't very pleased with the way Dave signed it but what can you do. At least it's on there. Father in law said he told him he couldn't fit his signature in the space between Baylor and Bird. Oh well.

Now at 33/45 possible for me.

The Bettis, Ogden and Clemens were from the Michael Jordan golf tournament that a friend attended.

Great stuff Mike, I love checking out your signed collection. I'm going to have to fire up the scanner one of these days.
  • Rayfield Wright's signature is looking horrible. I bought a certified autograph of him recently in leaf and it looks slightly better than the rookie signed. He must have dementia or Parkinson's. He's only 67 years old. It looks like the Red Grange signatures right before he died. That is a great Mike Bossy too.

Was pretty excited to be able to get a nice discount for the OScar Robertson/Joe Montana signing last weekend. Helped out a few SCN members too. Took advantage of the pricing and knocked out every Robertson card I could find. Wish I could have found a nice 1971 in time but oh well. Glad to add Montana to my 2005 All American set. Now at 81 out of a possible 90. I'm hopeful the Don McMahon is legit. Sending to PSA in the next group sub. And very excited to get the Chara rookie back today. I'm pretty sure it's good.
