I would love to do this set signed one of these days - but a ton of guys are dead. If anyone has a checklist of who is alive and signs for free I'd be curious to see it.
Also, I got this one back the other day. This will teach me to mail with a penny sleeve. I appreciate guys that sign for free, I'm just surprised that anyone signs the sleeve. How many cards do you think these guys have signed in their lifetime? 10,000?
Sadly, too many sign holders/toploaders/sleeves/CS1's. Some are too old or arthritic to get the cards out and others are too lazy.
Seeing others having issues with sleeves, I've ALWAYS sent my cards between two blank index cards. The cards usually return in virtually the same condition and are almost always returned with the index cards protecting them. The upside is that most players ofter sign the index cards as well (often adding career highlights and more).
Well I was VERY PLEASED by today's mail. Added a floorboard of a basketball HOFer, 2 football HOF signed RC's and a Boston Bruins legend and Hockey HOFer signed RC. I'm ecstatic!!
Basketball Hall of Famer Tom Gola:
Football Hall of Famer's Charlie Joiner and Jim Langer
Joiner
Langer
and finally, one of my new favorites...Bruins legend and Hockey HOFer Milt Schmidt
I saw your post about working on a 55 Topps All American Signed set. I currently have 32 of the possible 90 players. I've been working on the set for 2 years now, and like you said most of the guys are deceased. There are a few living members that do sign TTM.
Ralph Kerchival George Savitsky Ace Parker Don Moomaw Johnny Lujack Bill Dudley Bob Odell
Doc Blanchard and Dick Kazmair are both still alive, but neither sign TTM. I was lucky enough to catch Kazmaier at a show in Chicago last year, but I don't think Blanchard signs at all anymore. Also, if your interested I have an excel file which list all of the attainable players and their dates of death. I can also provide you with scans of what I have if you need exemplars.

First is football HOFer Willie Davis signed 64 Philly RC. Sent it back the day after I got the signed penny sleeve. He kindly returned it today.
Second is an 8 X 10 of Basketball HOFer Tommy Heinsohn.
Photo made from old SI cover...I was trying to do a bunch of awesome Celtics 8 X 10's for my office...when I had an office. I'll have a killer office as soon as I'm working again though. Here is one of the others I got TTM about 6 mos ago.
Here they are Mr. Adrian Dantley and Mr. Gail Goodrich. I'm very happy. On another note, I got a rejection from an old Robert Parish address. Anyone have a current one on him?
i would love to get nate's auto can you send me his address?

collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
Disappointing that it looks like his pen exploded when signing, but..
Mr. Ralph Kercheval
A good signature from Phil Niekro but he creased the card (or the mail did) unfortunately
And finally, another floorboard from Mr. Earl Lloyd, member of the 55 NBA Champion Syracuse Nationals. This board will go to George King, Red Rocha and Dolph Schayes hopefully.
Added four new ones TTM today!! Pretty happy except the Bellamy (looks like he used a Fat Non Sharpie marker and you can barely read it)
Here they are:
Mr Rico Petrocelli (one of my fav's to collect) Mr. Vince Banonis (it's a 49 Leaf, not 48) Mr. Bob O'Dell (wow, signed 55TAA's are FUN!) Mr. Walt Bellamy (Basketbal HOFer)

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
