    How much did Molitor charge??

    << <i>How much did Molitor charge?? >>

I didn't send anything. I probably would have, but I'm broke. LOL
  • Congrats on the Molitor, did you get him at spring training, or is an SCN address?
  • That is a great golf signature collection. The autographs on golf balls can be tuff, but the flags are very, very readable.

They will display nicely when they get finished.

One new one today. Mr. Johnny Lujack!

I would love to do this set signed one of these days - but a ton of guys are dead. If anyone has a checklist of who is alive and signs for free I'd be curious to see it.

    image

Also, I got this one back the other day. This will teach me to mail with a penny sleeve. I appreciate guys that sign for free, I'm just surprised that anyone signs the sleeve. How many cards do you think these guys have signed in their lifetime? 10,000?

Sadly, too many sign holders/toploaders/sleeves/CS1's. Some are too old or arthritic to get the cards out and others are too lazy.

Seeing others having issues with sleeves, I've ALWAYS sent my cards between two blank index cards. The cards usually return in virtually the same condition and are almost always returned with the index cards protecting them. The upside is that most players ofter sign the index cards as well (often adding career highlights and more).

Well I was VERY PLEASED by today's mail. Added a floorboard of a basketball HOFer, 2 football HOF signed RC's and a Boston Bruins legend and Hockey HOFer signed RC. I'm ecstatic!!

    Mike,

I saw your post about working on a 55 Topps All American Signed set. I currently have 32 of the possible 90 players. I've been working on the set for 2 years now, and like you said most of the guys are deceased. There are a few living members that do sign TTM.

    Ralph Kerchival
    George Savitsky
    Ace Parker
    Don Moomaw
    Johnny Lujack
    Bill Dudley
    Bob Odell

Doc Blanchard and Dick Kazmair are both still alive, but neither sign TTM. I was lucky enough to catch Kazmaier at a show in Chicago last year, but I don't think Blanchard signs at all anymore. Also, if your interested I have an excel file which list all of the attainable players and their dates of death. I can also provide you with scans of what I have if you need exemplars.

Some fun additions the last couple days.

Yesterday's mail brought a BKB HOFer Bob McAdoo signed RC

    image

And today, baseball, possible/future HOFer Jim Kaat signed RC

    image

Neither guy charges but Kaat sent me back an envelope to donate to his foundation if I choose (I'll drop them a couple bucks when I get work).

And I spent some time in Newport Beach for the Toshiba Senior Classic and filled a few holes in my golf collection...

First, picked up a couple Golf HOF signed RC's

    image

    image

And a couple logo balls for my golf ball major champions racks.

    Ian Woosnam (Masters Logo ball)
    image

    Gary Player (Masters Logo ball)
    image

Lee Trevino (Royal Birkdale logo ball- sight of one of Lee's British Open wins)
    image

Nick Price (1994 PGA Championship Southern Hills logo ball - Nick won it)
    image

Brad Bryant (2007 US Senior Open logo ball - Brad won it)
    image

    And onto flag additions
    US Amateur
    Added Bob Murphy
    image

    Masters
    Added Gary Player
    image

    2006 Ryder Cup
    Added Captain Ian Woosnam
    image

    PGA Championship
Added Hal Sutton - and Bobby Nichols TTM last week

Here they are Mr. Adrian Dantley and Mr. Gail Goodrich. I'm very happy. On another note, I got a rejection from an old Robert Parish address. Anyone have a current one on him?

One addition yesterday that I forgot to scan

    1949 Leaf Al Wistert

    And three new ones today

    Mr. Ralph Kercheval
