<< <i>Just a note about Sexson and why the Yankees picked him up...
vs Lefties, Sexson is hitting .338, .600 SLG, and a .429 OBP
his numbers vs righties is nothing less than dismal. It will be a rare occurrance when he hits against a righty in a Yankees uniform. If he keeps up with those numbers, he will be a real threat against the LHP.
His has 3x more at bats from the right side. I guess we'll see how accurate those numbers are vs LHP. If he doesnt perform against the lefties, you can be sure the Yanks wont hesitate to release him. >>
Here's another note -
The worst team in the American League is paying him $15 million dollars to not play for them.
These same Yankee fans got excited about Shelley Duncan last year about this time too. Let me remind you of one undeniable fact. You guys are stuck with Mr. Choketober as you open your new stadium. Years and years of futility are ahead of you. You can pin your hopes on Shelley Duncan, this Seattle reject, and every other Johnny come lately, but the fact is you are stuck with Arod and his pathetic leadership for a long time to come. That's all.

And a quick note for the blinded and gullible Sox Nation fandom
Your beloved and sacred Boston Red Sox are one of the WORST road teams in baseball. Yet you all drivel on about how much better you are then the Yankees or Rays?
We'll see how long you ride the Sexson bandwagon before you turn on them. I think it's funny that all the Yankee fans are talking smack after winning a few games. Most of the Sox fans have been here all season whether they are winning or not. Lots of baseball to be played and it will probably go right down to the wire.

And I find it funny that MOST of the Red Sox fans here talking so much smack that you would think the Yankees were 25 games under .500 and the Sox a .725 winning percentage juggernaut. NOT and NOT
As far as your comment about being here all season .... ehhhh... that rings hollow with me. I have been "here" for 4 years. I have two infant children and just in the past two weeks have rediscovered the board. I understand what you are saying but really that is a lame excuse for propping yourself up as a diehard.

I think the Yankees will be there in September. But, October is another story. Remember - it's not 1998 anymore.

Well we started out just trying to keep this thread on the first page, after you guys approached 3rd place it started to get more hits!
The Yanks bullpen has been as good as it gets for a long while now. Bats are waking up (Robinson Cano) 14 of his last 25 is leading the way. Just like THAT we are 11 games over .500 and heating up. Two series sweeps against Wild Card contending teams ..... taking a MINIMUM 2 out of 3 in Boston and the Yankees will offically be making a bonafide MOVE .....
<< <i> the Yankees will offically be making a bonafide MOVE ..... >>
Here are some Yankees that will be making "bonafide MOVE's".....
1. AROD....will be making a bonafide move from his current residence into madonna's pad 2. GIAMBI..will be making bonafide moves to his local "pharmicist" 3. PETTITE...see Giambi 4. HANK....will be making bonafide moves in the bathroom after watching his team play in fenway this weekend
I welcome the series at Fenway. We are playing better now than we have all year. This will be the chance for us to overtake the Red Sox for the Wildcard lead and who knows, maybe even take over first place in the A.L. East. Bring it!!!

And, you guys have A-rod.

<< <i> the Yankees will offically be making a bonafide MOVE ..... >>
Here are some Yankees that will be making "bonafide MOVE's".....
1. AROD....will be making a bonafide move from his current residence into madonna's pad
2. GIAMBI..will be making bonafide moves to his local "pharmicist"
3. PETTITE...see Giambi
4. HANK....will be making bonafide moves in the bathroom after watching his team play in fenway this weekend
Do you guys actually have Sidney Ponson in your starting rotation?
I just looked at the starters for the weekend series, and he's one of them. Wow.
<< <i>I welcome the series at Fenway. We are playing better now than we have all year. This will be the chance for us to overtake the Red Sox for the Wildcard lead and who knows, maybe even take over first place in the A.L. East. Bring it!!! >>
