I have been to two Targets and a Walmart for the last five days straight. Nothing. I thought that another Heritage collector might have beat me to it, but there is no price sticker, and when I ask the rep if it's in yet, i get nothing.
Has anyone else opened hobby boxes from blowout cards? Mine are absolute garbage. I have opened two of the three boxes I ordered. One had 13 insert cards (SPs, Mantles, ARods, TNs, FBs, etc.), the other had 14. I was waaay closer to 24 with the first 14 boxes I opened.
I also found retail at Target this morning. No blasters, just packs. From 13 packs, I got 13 inserts including an Adam Kennedy black refractor.
I'll gladly trade if someone pulls a Jason Bay black refractor they can part with.

arch- I opened two hobby cases from Blowout. I did pull two auto's (no name guys) only1 black refractor, no seat cards and a bunch of game used that I really don't care too much about. On Friday I busted a retail case from ebay seller Lockwood and pulled no ink, no black, two seat cards and three game used. If anything the disappointing cases are more of an indictment on Topps as opposed to any particular seller. For the first time, I have pulled multiples of the same sp's in one hobby box. The product is certainly watered down but it's not stopping me from ripping 10 more boxes this weekend !!...still hoping for a big pull.
I didn't think I would be working on a Heritage set this year because I was never a fan of the '58 set and the product looked too watered down. However, I decided that it was too difficult to sit on the sidelines. I just ordered two cases and hope to rip them this weekend. In prior years, I used to open 4 - 6 cases. However, by judging from the pulls on this thread, it looks like I will limit my busting this year to the 2 cases. I was wondering how the quality control was this year. In prior years, it was hit or miss. I remember in 2005 I opened 1 case that averaged 10 SPs/inserts per box. However, another case had 5 boxes that averaged 7 SPs/inserts per pack. It was crazy.
If anybody needs Heritage cards to complete their sets from 2001 - 2006, please let me know. I have thousands of extras laying around. I would be more then happy to trade them for cards I need for 2007.

1 Gu: Sheffield 2 refractors: (ouch, this set is tough!) 10 chrome (ditto) about 20 mantles 5 Arods And a ton of SPs. I have gotten almost all of the big ones.....Pujols, Jeter, Griffey, Pedro, Clemens var. I dont' know if I'm going to attempt the refractor set or not.
So far no black refractors. Think I am done for the night. Hopefully will have trade list by Wed. or Thurs.

Another thing I've noticed is the top right corner on lots of my SPs seem not gem mint. Anyone else having this problem? Almost like a warp or something on that one corner.

Dave, as always you seem to be having a very nice break. I remember last year's amazing case, which included that awesome ARod/Mantle GU and seems like at least a couple autos.
I received my end of the deal from a trade with Jim (ArchStanton), plus a few eBay packages. Thought I'd post the progress of my '07 relic quest.

Well, I first have to say hello to all. I haven't bought any ball cards since the late 80's when I was in high school. About three weeks ago I blew out my knee and needed something to do with all my couch time, that's when I stumbled across this forum. I have to say thanks for the renewed interest in cards you guys have created for me, I ordered 4 hobby boxes last week and since have bought quite a few blasters and retail packs. I also have a case of 2007 and 2006 heritage that should be here Friday. I go back to the doc tomorrow to discuss the mri and x-rays, and figure out what the extent of surgery is going to be, so lots more couch time in my future. Anyway here is what I've gotten so far, sorry but I didn't keep track of the sp's and other inserts, I will on the case.

I haven't noticed that Travis but I did find that the top right corner of almost every bottom card in a pack is dinged. Too tight a wrap?
