One has the standard bold print, and the other has a thinner font. I think the thinner font is the variation.

Guys, I also should be done collating by late tomorrow night. Hopefully I will have help! I think I will try 2 master sets (-mantles), a chrome, and a refractor. I will have plenty of SPs to trade.

Also, I have pulled 17 SPs or variations that are severely o/c top to bottom....mostly from the packs with Mantles. Is anyone else having this problem?

yup, I got about 6 Retail packs that were way, way o/c top to bottom. Not good at all.

All of my SP's are in pretty good shape, but a lot of the other cards in the base set are very off center. You can tell the SP's were done on a seperate printing, and then inserted into the packs. It seems that Topps went out of there way to make sure the SP's were in good centering.

So you pulled a black refractor AND an auto in one box??? I wouldn't worry about the OC cards

More Blaster boxes yields nothing. Out of three boxes and five blasters I have fewer than 10 chromes. Will crack two more hobby boxes tomorrow, but putting together the chromes is really going to be a bear! I just sold a gold Jeter #40 to the scavengers on ebay for $250-out of control. This at least gives me some heritage cash. Did anyone catch the thread on the Detroit Tiger labeled as "National League?" That's a great find by one of our CU buds. By the way, San Antonio Wal-Marts and Targets are loaded with the blaster boxes. Need 'em, I'll ship em! Let me know quick though. Have seen at least 20 in three stores.

i went in to friggin walmart to see if they had any heritage, they didnt, so i walk out with nothing.. as i walk past the homeboy old fart at the front door i hear him say "hey son".. so i turn around.. he then asks me to step back inside the door..

im thinking, this basturrd thinks i stole something because im leaving without buying anything..

so i ask the dude why he wants me to step back inside the door and his response is "i'm not accusing you of nothing, son"..

now, the door was only 2 steps behind me, so it was no problem for me just take a step backwards and let the old fart see that the bell didnt ring or anything..

so i kind of chuckle a little bit and say, "so answer my question, what was the reason for stopping me and asking me to walk back through the detector if you're not accusing me of anything?"

anyway, he was probably only doing his job but it pissed me off a little bit.. i was only in the store for maybe 4 minutes, long enough to walk to the register aisle where they keep cards (aisle 17) and scan the shelf then walk out..

i ended up walking right back inside and letting the manager know i was pissed.. i told her exactly what i was there for was to look for a specific brand of baseball cards.. i think that just made her think i was a dork..

but they can count on seeing me walk in and out again a few times without buying chit until they get some damn heritage in stock..

day and I come back from work and its been hit up...at least he left me one. Everywhere else has been dry. Did find some packs at
target, but no blasters. Ill start to hid them for you if I can. Sorry about the greeter nightmare

Hey guys

I haven't bought anything in a long time but I broke down last night and bought a couple of boxes at Target. (8 packs, are those the blasters?) I know little to nothing about Heritage, or anything made in the last 10 years for that matter, but they are some neat cards. Can someone fill me in on the basics, (inserts, variations, etc.) without me having to read the entire 38 pages of this thread? I may have a new vice on the horizon.
