The gray/white backs designation has been in the works for a few years now....because if it, the Super set was started so as to not ruin the Master set with gray and white backs designations.
Heavens no, I did not crack out a PSA 9....I use the Review service where you send in the cards in their holders and they review it to see if it should be a higher grade...it works.

Copied from Wiki : He was the first player to come to bat in the history of the second modern (1961–71) Washington Senators franchise, now the Texas Rangers. On April 10, 1961, at Griffith Stadium, with President John F. Kennedy having thrown out the first ball, Veal led off the bottom of the first inning against Hall of Fame right-hander Early Wynn of the Chicago White Sox. He reached base on an infield single near third base, was advanced to second on a Marty Keough single to left, then scored (along with Keough) on a Gene Woodling triple.

That's a beauty. Definitely a 10. Thanks for sharing a little background on the card. That always interests me. Are you still finding raw cards to submit to PSA? I always wonder about the PSA 10s with the recent flips. Are people cracking PSA 9s ? Are there still a lot of new PSA 10s hitting the pop report in 2019?

In a six-season career, Narleski posted a 43–33 record with 454 strikeouts, a 3.60 ERA, and 58 saves in 702 innings. He made the American League All-Star team in 1956 and 1958.
Narleski was an overpowering pitcher with a blazing fastball which he mixed with a sharp-breaking curve and a change-up that can kept hitters guessing. Unfortunately, Narleski had a simple problem: he was overshadowed by one of the greatest pitching staffs in major league history, the Indians Big Four Bob Feller, Bob Lemon, Early Wynn and Mike Garcia. Nevertheless, in his rookie season Narleski posted 13 saves for the 1954 AL Champions. In 1955 he went 9–1 and led the league with 19 saves and 60 appearances, and in 1957 he finished 11–5 with 16 saves. At this time, he gradually joined the starting rotation.

His most productive season came in 1955, when he hit .309 with 40 home runs with 109 RBI, all career highs.[4]
In 1957, Post and six of his Redleg teammates—Ed Bailey, Johnny Temple, Roy McMillan, Don Hoak, Gus Bell and Frank Robinson—were "voted" starters on the National League All-Star team, the result of a ballot stuffing campaign by Redlegs fans. Major League Baseball Commissioner Ford Frick intervened, removing Bell and Post from the starting line up and replacing them with Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. Frick allowed Bell to remain on the team as a reserve, while Post was injured and would have been unable to play in any event.[9][10]
Post is also noted as the man who ended Aaron's record-setting stint on the 1950s Home Run Derby show.[11] Post also hit the first home run at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on April 10, 1962.[12]
After playing for the Phillies, Twins, Indians, and in a second stint with the Reds, Post retired in 1963.[3] He was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 1965.[13]
Post died in St. Henry, Ohio in 1982.

Copied from Wiki Nicknamed "Big D" by fans, Drysdale used brushback pitches and a sidearm fastball to intimidate batters,[3] similar to his fierce fellow Hall of Famer Bob Gibson. His 154 hit batsmen remains a modern National League record.
Drysdale was a good hitting pitcher. In 14 seasons he had 218 hits, including 29 home runs. Drysdale was occasionally used as a pinch-hitter, once during the World Series.[5]
In 1962, Drysdale won 25 games and the Cy Young Award. In 1963, he struck out 251 batters and won Game 3 of the World Series at Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium over the Yankees, 1–0. In 1965 he was the Dodgers' only .300 hitter and tied his own National League record for pitchers with seven home runs. That year, he also won 23 games and helped the Dodgers to their third World Championship in Los Angeles.
In 1968, Drysdale set Major League records with six consecutive shutouts and 58
2⁄3 consecutive scoreless innings. The latter record was broken by fellow Dodger Orel Hershiser 20 years later. Hershiser, however, did not match Drysdale's record of six consecutive complete game shutouts.[6]

My first post on the PSA forums. Thanks for having me, everyone!
The 1959 set holds a very special place in my heart. It was the first vintage set I built with my father when I was growing up thirty years ago or so. We went to lots of local shows in Connecticut and New York hunting down what are now clean, upper mid-grade singles to finish the set. Eating at diners and just spending time with my pops talking about baseball. Is there anything better?
i've begun grading the key cards in the set. Most are coming back in the 6 range. I'll get some scans cooking and get things posted.
Still love all the obscure little variations in the set like to the missing trading clauses. Managed score a bunch of them digging through bins those many years ago before many dealers had a clue about them.
