I keep meaning to axe you guys--do I need to scout out and buy my own spring training tickets, or am I able to simply tag along with the rest of you, pony up some cash, and get in some games that way. As Al would testify, I'm not really very good about figuring out what to do on my own. Left to my own devices I'd probably just sit in my hotel room for four days and then fly home.
Yes, Al, we can russle up a gila monster from the desert and grill it up for Bob....no problemo.
Bob, as Anthony said, we got you covered....just come and enjoy. Do bring a lot of cash as spring training newbies get to buy all the beer for us at the games.....sort of like a hazing.

He had a really good year in 59 for the Tigers. I read that his nick name was The Sphinx, which seems ironic since The Sphinx has no nose. I think he is still with us.
Don - Your stuff is always amazing. Truly.
Here is a 59T Elston Howard I picked up that thrilled me.
50/50 front and back.
This seems like a great thread to share.

OK, Anthony.....as you requested, here it is! To say that I am happy is the major understatement of the year. This card bumped in PSA review from PSA 9 to PSA 10....pop 1, the one and only!
Ray, absolutely a great place to share your Elston Howard card and it is a beauty!
natsturner....amazing cards of Larsen and Hitting Kings!! congrats to you! I have been wanting to get in touch with you as I saw your set on the registry, but there is no contact info there. Please email me at brett8@cox.net thanks, Don Johnson

Rudolph died at age 38 in a post career accident. He was noted for his fast work on the mound completing one game in 1962 in an hour and 32 minutes. That same year when Jim Piersall went into the stands after a fan, Rudolph followed him and with the help of a police officer ended up sitting on Piersall until he calmed down.
Don - All incredible! That team card is so strong you can make out some of the players which is generally impossible.
I love, LOVE the Sturdivant!
WOW!
...got it back...? Another bump?
So I recently came across my dad's set of 59s. I am very new to this and trying figure out what to get graded in the set. I feel pretty good about most HOFs but the commons are where I am struggling. Could I get some feedback about a few sample cards? My hope is to only send in the commons that I feel confident will get an 8. Fingers crossed that some may even get a 9 or 10. Here are 2 samples:
I'd say that both of those have a solid shot at an 8.
9's, today, really must have razor sharp corners to secure that grade.
Really nice cards though. Good luck if you choose to send them in.

Bob-- I would likely have to move to Kalifornia. They let you marry anyone or any thing out there. And I can use Anthony as the photographer.
