Whitesox South Side Baseball Park is from April 24, 1913 and mentions sox losing to St.Louis (Browns) that day 3-1. Catalina Island postmarked 1922
A few that I believe have already been posted in this thread in the past (the mcgraw one has) Polo Grounds with McGraw postmarked 1914 and the other is postmarked 1923 Forbes is from 1909 and Sportsmens Park from 1939
Some more modern ones Metropolitan (from 1974) may or may not have been shown before in this thread Pilots - Sicks Stadium (not postmarked) County Stadium (1954 postmark) Harris County Domed Stadium - still mentions the Houston Colt .45s (not postmarked)
I like the league park one a lot. So far , this is one of my favorites. Didn't really know anything about this ballpark until I started the postcard collecting.
The outside of the Astrodome doesn't quite compare to the amazing decor of the older stadiums. A Loews store now sits on the site of Seattles old Sicks Stadium. Thanks for sharing your cool postcards.
Scored some more PCs at an antique show this week. I don't spend time going through someone's cards unless they're sorted and labeled "Sports" or whatever. It's a huge time saver! Anyway, here's my favorite pickup of the day and the latest addition to my Senators/Twins collection:
And a card postmarked 1948 of the Dempsey-Willard championship fight of 1919:
This third one is of a work in the National Gallery of Art and is entitled, "Both Members of this Club" by Bellows. It's kind of abstract, but I liked it and it was only a buck!
I picked up a couple Exhibit cards, too, but they're blank backs and don't qualify as postcards. I'll have to find another thread to share them...
I've been enjoying the boxing cards more as of late, including the Exhibits I picked up last month.
It looks like Dempsey found a lot of ways to get his restaurant advertised with all the different postcards he produced! That could be a specialized collection in itself...
Tonite it's Johnny Bench. Also a mantle 1971 Yankees Clinic Schedule postcard. I have two that have the same front but reverse text is different. One states that he is 27 years old which would make the card 1973 or 1974 and also says he "has won seven golden gloves:. The back of the other omits his age and says "ten time golden glove winner" so it is at least three years newer than the other postcard. Does anyone know what these are from. Also, if anyone has info on the postcard with the action shot I'd love to know on that one too....it is publised by Dexter Press.
Alright, looks like I gotta move this thread up again!! 1932 NY Giants Schedule postcard of Carl Hubbel and also a 1985 Puckett rookie that you dont see every day!!
Anyone have any additions to this thread?? Keep them coming!!
Alright, for your viewing pleasure tonite we have the Robinsons!! 1950's JJK Copyart postcard of Jackie Robinson and 1957 Cincinnati Reds Postcards Frank Robinson!!
I like the '71 Bench team isue!! Looks similar to the Bench cards I posted up a few posts! Is it a regular postcard back?? Or are there any stats like on the ones I posted?
Hi Claude, My 1971 Bench team issue is blank backed.
I have the Bench postcard you have that lists 1976 on the back. The other one without that date is the first one I have ever seen. I also have one with the same front that is blank backed. I believe that all three variations were distributed by Bench for fan requests through the mail and not team issued.
Here's one from the early 1900's. I live in upstate NY near Rochester. This is from a small town, Honeoye Falls! Look how the children on the left side are semi-drawn in...kinda eerie!!
Well, guess I'll keep adding stuff and bumping this thread to the front!! This is an early 1900's postcard and I have no clue as to who it may picture. If anyone has a clue please post to this thread and let me know your thoughts. I also scanned close-ups of the players face to possibly help......maybe it's a rookie of Honus Wagner!!!???
Exhibit cards are something I have just recently started to collect. Please share some of the ones you have. Here are some of my other acquisitions. I am trying to find a 1920's Grover Alexander in a PSA 5.
I love those Morgan Red Belts. The one you have pictured shows the 3rd baseman is wearing dress shoes and I think I read somewhere that that photo was posed??
Went antiquing with my wife earlier today. I found this nice PC of Josh Gibson. I tried googling for more info on the card, but came up short. Anyone know anything about this series by "What's a Face Productions", Pomegranate Publications? It's relatively new as the back mentions "1972" as the year Josh was put in the HOF. There was another card with the same format and back of DuBois, so it may have been a series on famous black Americans?

picked these 3 up the last two weeks. all 3 postmarked between 1911 - 1912 -- similar/same may have been posted in this thread already.
The only two I have thus far in my search for 1970/1971 Team Issued Milwaukee Brewers Postcards
If someone wrote to someone on it so much the better. I have about a half dozen ballparks that I was collecting.
I generally collect PC from the town I live in.
Thanks for sharing.

I saw Forbes before they tore it down also - tho I didn't get to see a game.
Thanx for sharing - this is one of the fun ongoing threads.
Nice additions, you are building quite a collection!

AUPT - Thanks for the info! I'm going to make a note of that on a sticky and include it with the card.
I appreciate the help!
