Yes you did my friend I'm a BRobby fan too-will probably keep that one. The Sox team SP in the last pack was a nice way to end the case. It was way beyond what I expected ,3-4 cards with 1:16000 or 1:12000 odds.
I really get a charge seeing the real autos because I collect 1957s. I really enjoy vintage, but most are soooooo tired and should be after 48 years in the world. Then you see these new reproductions that are so startling new. The only thing it compares with is seeing a picture of your mom or dad when they were young. The reproductions are so fresh. I was going to flip my Duke Snider blue-ink auto on EBay, but I like it so much I'm going to keep it.
TNP, you are LIGHT YEARS ahead of me! I'm still trying to fill NAP's and T&T's !!!! Not to mention oodles of SP's. Retail had BETTER show up around here soon.
I opened 2 blasters and a few packs....I love the cards! Of what I have seen so far, many players went along with they old style poses which is awesome.
I would say the only thing I dont like is that some of the players look too washed out....almost like ghosts with uniforms.
I love the feel of these cards. I think they are even better than last year. I am also putting together Topps Series 1, and they are slicker than snot on a brass doorknob. The Heritage, on the other hand, even feel like cards from the good old days.

OK, I give up! Where can the complete list of Topps Heritage variations and short prints be found? It seems like everyone else knows, but I can't find them posted anywhere. I cracked my first box and I got 27 cards numbered 4oo or higher. Are all of these SP's? I'm hearing that the average is 12-13 per box. Also, are there variations within # 400 and higher? Lastly, what are the SP's + variations for cards 1-399. Someone please clue me in. Thanks.

WOW, lots of heritage action today, Some major pulls from retail. I knew the early retail was gold.....now if I can only find some!
I bought a box and a half more of hobby. I pulled a Billy Wagner Black, so not all is lost, I also nailed a box that had a good sp run in it. After one trade Im only 1 card short (NAP Ichiro).
I must say that this set is waaaaaay easier to put together than last, granted the light backs were a surprise, this set might actually fit in a 2 inch binder versus the 3-4 of the past sets. I have bought the pages and will be loaded them soon. Has anyone else put their set in pages yet??
Retail chasing is fun, but when you have all your cards in front of you then the real fun starts! I love the 57/06 comparisons. Im still intrigued by the Arod ghost....Are the guys at topps a bunch of geniuses, or was it just poor picture editing?? LOL
Its funny, we are over a week into this and still no Mantle or Williams cut. I believe this time last year there were already cuts..of course there are only 3 this year, but thats interesting. If anyone is tracking sales, let us know. Sometimes the hardest part of making money back on this stuff is knowing the right players and right time to sell (ask Loth!!!)
Well, Im almost done with my set, its time to help others, let me know what you need!

I'll be working on my set to get it collated , see where my needs and dupes are, then I'll put up a trading list. 5 of my 6 big pulls are up for sale/trade......the Crawford & Snyder have interest so those guys will have 1st shot but the MM dual relis, the MM seat relic , and the Chakales red auto are on the table.
Dan, I know I was lucky as hell ..beginner's luck ......but your case didn't look too bad.

But, I thought we could look at some features at the same time.
I've scanned a 57T and 06T Heritage - both "head" shots so we're comparing apples with apples.
I think Topps did a pretty good job of going for the "retro" feel of the set.
By the time I usually complete a set, I'll have looked at every cartoon and writeup.
How do you guys feel about the design/feel?

Notice in comparing the SP and base Baldelli that the fonts in the heading are a bit different in size.
And for the newcomers to Heritage - notice that the cartoons are different in the base vs. SP. That means twice the laugh!
Considering how hard it is to do a Master Set, I think Topps has the last laugh!

Retail chasing is fun, but when you have all your cards in front of you then the real fun starts! I love the 57/06 comparisons. Im still
intrigued by the Arod ghost....Are the guys at topps a bunch of geniuses, or was it just poor picture editing?? LOL
Its funny, we are over a week into this and still no Mantle or Williams cut. I believe this time last year there were already cuts..of course
there are only 3 this year, but thats interesting. If anyone is tracking sales, let us know. Sometimes the hardest part of making money

Shoot me an IM. Should be able to help you out quite a bit.
<< <i>I opened 2 blasters and a few packs....I love the cards! Of what I have seen so far, many players went along with they old style poses which is awesome.
I would say the only thing I dont like is that some of the players look too washed out....almost like ghosts with uniforms.
It's once again a killer product! >>
So it's official, the blaster boxes are out there now?

I popped open 7 packs :

1 chrome - Miguel Cabrera
1 Flashback-Bobby Richardson
I'll be heading out for some more later today
Dave
The latest one I have which I got from Softparade lists only one #475 card - "blue" SP.
Since, there's a base card also, shouldn't it be on the list also?
mike
yep, it should. Dan already alerted me about the error.
