  • Putting them in numerical order is the most common way although it is neat to put them in order by team as well. However, by putting them in order by teams it is difficult to tell if you have a complete set or not.

I am a slave to putting sets in order the way they are intended to. Numerical order baby, those obnoxious numbers on the backs of cards have been around longer than most of us. I feel that if I put a set together any other way a bolt of lightening would do quick work of me image

  • I agree with putting things in numerical order. I am more curious about the insert sets like flashbacks and new age performers. I generally put them in alphabetical order but noticed on the checklists they are not.
  • TNP777TNP777 Posts: 5,710 ✭✭✭
In my sets, New Age Performers and Then & Nows go in numerical order, Flashbacks go in alphabetical, and the regular set goes in numerical order. All variations go behind the regular issue card.

Might as well make a plea for the last four chrome refractors - I need: 5 (Giles/Harridge) 55 (I. Rodriguez) 94 (E. Santana) 100 (A. Rodriguez) I've got lots & lots of trade material.

    Still need SPs 20b, 95b, 268, 271, 278, 280, 288, 298, 313, 352, and 475.

    Also need the common 256.

    I have extra sp's 25, 200, 267, 283, 342, 348, and 349. Chromes 29, 41, 43, 65, 92, and 98. Chrome refractor 77, CC-SC, plenty of commons, flashbacks and NAP's. (No Ichiro though).

Let me know if any of you can help.

    Need the following SP's:

313, 342, 350b (Hunter with last name in blue letters-- need 2 of these), and 400 (need 2 of these as well). I have lot's of SP's and chromes available to trade. Will also sell the SP's and chromes for $2.50 each shipped if you don't have any that I need for trade. I am also looking for suggestions for what to do with my website for next year. I purchased the www.toppsheritage.com domain. You can check it out if you want, but don't buy anything on there because I haven't updated it in a month or so (too busy!). It's about as basic as you can get right now.

Da*% TNP777! That is an amazing acomplishment! Ihave recently got back into baseball card collecting and have been chasing my tail so to speak, trying to get caught up on the Heritage cards. I have came to the conclusion that I will have to buy the sets already put together from ebay or just give up on them all together.

I am however very much looking forward to the 2007's coming out. It will be nice to be on a level playing field so to speak and get these when they first come out. I hate chasing my tail.

Does anyone know if someone has pulled the Mantle or Williams cut autos? I've always thought it a bit odd that such high profile cards didn't come out right away.
Always looking for 1996 Select Certified Football.

I've still got one card from '06 lurking on my wantlist. Does anyone happen to have a chrome refractor /557 #55 Ivan Rodriguez in their dupes box? I'd love to bid adieu to '06!

    cool thread
  • Quick question for you guys that did the chrome or refractor set for 2006 Heritage-

Was there a card #103? That's the only one I seem to be missing.

Brian, #103 was supposed to be Alex Gordon. His cards were (mostly) pulled from production because per MLB rules he didn't qualify as being able to appear on a rookie card. Cutout cards exist for him in both 2006 Topps and Topps Heritage base sets, and whole examples, while extremely rare, exist for 2006 Topps. I've never seen or heard of any example of a Topps Heritage chrome card.

busted a box of these the other night, nothing good - a few SPs I needed and a Pujols chrome card was the best I could muster

    Geordie-

Once again, you rule. I remember the Alex Gordon fiasco very clearly, but I just didn't realize 103 was his chrome card too. So, I guess I have the complete chrome set with 109 cards. Thanks for the insight as always!
