Jeff - I'm pretty sure I've got both of those NAPs for you. I'll have a look when I get home from work. PM me your address again and I'll get those out to you.
Wow- I feel like an idiot. MY checklist has #255 listed as Jered Weaver, but obviously that's the Alex Gordon card. I didn't realize that, and I've been looking for the Weaver card instead.
My question is: Is there a card #255 available other than Gordon? Or was this the only #255? It's possible the Weaver card was just from a preliminary checklist and I never edited it.
If any has info, please let me know! I'm not going to go for the Gordon card, so I guess I'll just leave #255 blank.

There is not a Jered Weaver card in the set. There is a Jeff Weaver and it is card #363. You must have had a preliminary checklist. For a current, complete checklist look at my web site under my sets. There is no other card for #255 except for the Gordon cutout. No known whole #255 card exists at this time. I hope this information is useful to you.
Maybe I should have waited and it would have come down, maybe I got a deal??? With all the Heritage and Mantle collectors out there I couldn't pass it up for the price compared to what others are selling at. Mantle Bat

actually, you may have gotten that card for less than anyone else that has bought/won one on eBay - nice pickup!. Yours has some of the better centering I've seen. too. That's one thing I wish Topps would concentrate more one when it comes to Heritage - the centering on their relics. If they're gonna short print them, then I believe there should be some more focus on the quality control.
Well, I'm down to my last card: TN-5 ARod and Ted Williams. Anyone have an extra they can part with?

Is there a story behind the Musial seat card? Why does it sell for so much more than the rest? They are going for $150-$200 on EBay while a Mantle Seat card goes for about $20!
My Master Set is basically complete. I am just waiting on a seller from Ebay to send me my final card... Bonds SP. It's been over a week and a half and I'm getting nervous/anxious. Now....on to the chromes and relics. I'm going to try and make a major purchase this weekend to help out.
Cheers! Wick

Let's see if any of you guys can help me out on this one:
I basically need two SP's to complete my set: Bonds and the Jeter with blue letters.
I thought I had purchased a Jeter w/ blue letters over the weekend, but I realized when it arrived in the mail that it was actually the Jeter SP w/ yellow and white letters (which I already have).
So...I have a regular Jeter SP card for trade....need either a Jeter blue or a Bonds in return. Let me know if this is a match with anyone...
<< <i>Is there a story behind the Musial seat card? Why does it sell for so much more than the rest? They are going for $150-$200 on EBay while a Mantle Seat card goes for about $20! >>
The reason the Musial seat is selling so high is that it was short printed to 140 - Group A. Mantles are Group E, making them the most common. I checked back to see how much I paid for my Musial - just under $30, but that was right around the time that Beckett released the details on short printed relics, so I got in just in time. I was just checking the closed listing a minute ago - some guy put one up with a BIN of only $30. That auction was sandwiched in between two others that popped for $130 apiece. Wonder if the $30 seller is kicking himself just a little?
The Musial bat cards are pretty scarce too, only printed to 99. Collectors are starting to realize that the six group A relics (Mantle, Bonds, ARod bat, Brooks Robinson, Mazeroski and Musial /99) and the Group B (Kaline & Frank Robinson) are getting kind of scarce, and therefore bidding them up pretty high. I was lucky enough, with the exception of the Mantle, to pick most of them up waaaay under market value. I did get a little help from Kevin's dad, who was gracious in selling me the Maz jersey for a little under market value - he could have gotten more on the Bay, but was nice enough to help out a fellow collector - kudos to him!
A couple of the cards I have laugh about are the ARods. Before the /99 list came out, his jersey cards (with a pin stripe!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG) were selling in the $70 range - there were tons of them out there, and they were all doing well. The bat cards weren't appearing all that often, and weren't garnering much interest. I was able to pick mine up for under $15. Things turned around considerably after the SP list was published. The bat cards have been selling for around $100 now - Beckett's "BV" is a little off on that one.
I just received the final card I needed for my master set (Thanks Geordie!) , also # 10 Bonds SP. 9 more chromes/refractors and that is complete also. Thanks to all for trades, Heritage rocks ! Now it's back to previous years.
Hey all, I've completed 1 06 chrome set and am a few away from the 2nd. I am going to sell set #1. If anyone is interested please PM me. Looking for $275 delivered (only seen 1 on feebay). PM me if interested or emial TZAHL@yahoo.com

I wish Topps would searchproof their packs!!!! I just bought 4 loose packs at Target today and had a feeling that the person who is selling these "guaranteed" packs had already been there. Not fair to the honest man! Needless to say, I received 2 SP's and a Chrome - one pack did not have anything but commons.
I've finished my version of the master set: 384 card base set (not including Gordon cut-out), 110 card SP set, 35 card basic insert set (FB, NAP & TN, didn't chase relics or autos) and 109 card chrome set (mixed 1957 & 557). As with last year, I've thoroughly enjoyed building this set and I couldn't have done it without the help of the following board members who traded with me and sold me their cards:
Chris (knopfler55) Brian (bkritz) Travis (TZAHL) Jeff (wick70) Brian (psu92) Chris (kuhlmann) Geordie (TNP777) Brian W. Bill E. Michael P. Jason C. Al N. Kevin R.
Thanks, guys, and I'm looking forward to wheeling & dealing with all of you next year!
I'm gonna go after this card pretty hard, as it looks like a pretty rare issue. If someone else out there really needs it, I'll back off. Now that I know it exists, I know another will eventually come along. Kevin & I had a discussion and had come to the conclusion that this card only existed as a redemption, and those redemptions could not be redeemed due to Mathews' death before the official release of 2001 Heritage.
WOW! This is the first I have seen of this card. It looks like it was actually made, which is kinda odd, because replacments went out after the redemption expired and topps has never honored expired redemptions. I would guess that this card is very very rare...I guess you can only hope that no one else knows this.
I hope you can add this to your collection. Now all we have to find is the Doby real one auto!
The auction ended early. I hope that card is going to Geordie's house.

Travis, This is from Mike's post on Topps returns.
Topps Return:
1. Address: Topps, 401 York Ave., Duryea, PA, 18642-2035 - 800-489-9149; for replacement also put ATTENTION: Consumer Relations.
2. If you want to return "card for card" exchange - limit it to 25 cards - list the cards by number in order.
3. You can also send the cards for "random" replacement - I recommend this for commons since you will most likely get SP's as part of the random replacement - I sent them in 100 per request - no complaints and from a total of 200 (approx) replacements got back about 45-50 SP's! This will not happen anymore!
Don't worry about the condition they don't care - "insure" they can see the defects!
4. The last time I sent cards in, they did request that in the future, I submit them with a proof of purchase or UPC code tab from the box.
5. I recommend that you give minimum insurance as a "record" of the submission in case there is a problem.
The service last year was lightning fast and cards came to me in good shape. This is definitely worth the time!
I returned about 60 base cards for random replacement. I had a dinged chrome and NAP, so I threw them in too. Topps sent replacements for the chrome and NAP, 60 cards with two SPs and a Whitey Ford seat relic. I have no complaints.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason. Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason. My Pirates Collection
He states there is only 99 of those made. Assuming 9500-10000 cases of Heritage & given the odds for group A CC cards, there is more like 500 +. I sold the Mantle bat/Arod jersey dual relic which IS numbered for $197. WTF?

Thanks, guys, and I'm looking forward to wheeling & dealing with all of you next year!
i need 302!
2001 Eddie Mathews relic
I'm gonna go after this card pretty hard, as it looks like a pretty rare issue. If someone else out there really needs it, I'll back off. Now that I know it exists, I know another will eventually come along. Kevin & I had a discussion and had come to the conclusion that this card only existed as a redemption, and those redemptions could not be redeemed due to Mathews' death before the official release of 2001 Heritage.
I'm just glad to know that it exists!

after the redemption expired and topps has never honored expired redemptions. I would guess that this card is very very rare...I
guess you can only hope that no one else knows this.
I hope you can add this to your collection. Now all we have to find is the Doby real one auto!

This is from Mike's post on Topps returns.
