I really did not know HOW to answer, or to be honest, exactly what the reason was. I talked to Rod tonight on the phone, and in a nutshell what he told me is, that he does have VERY little patience for bad ebayers. Rod makes a very nice living buying at local auctions and selling on Ebay. But when someone wins an auction, then does not pay, even given more than ample time ( he told me that he has given people up to 30 days to pay him ) then he gives them what they deserve, a negative feedback. Then, even though they did not pay him, they leave him a negative. He said that when he gets somewhere between 5 and 10 negatives, that he feels it is in his best interest to cancel that Ebay name and start over. He is afraid that people won't trust him to deliver if they see a lot of negatives, even though they are retaliatory in nature, from people that did NOT hold up their end of the deal. For anyone that has 2nd thoughts about buying from him (under whatever name he may be using at the time ) DO NOT HESITATE TO BID FROM HIS AUCTION!!!! Even though none of you have ever met me, I give you my word, ANYONE on this forum is welcome to come to Canton, Ohio for HoF weekend, or any other time, to meet me, meet Rod, and to see my collection, or if possible see his. Rod is a good, honest person, and as I said last week, whoever WON the Hewitt, will GET the Hewitt. I hope that clears it up.

Hello,

I took that photo of Dan Reeves, Pete Rozelle, and the 3rd unidentified man to Cleveland last Saturday to give it to Jim Spence, hoping that it would pass authentication. He told me it would take an hour. I was obviously just hoping for it to Pass, but I could not believe what he told me when I went back to see him a little more than 1 hour later. He told me that he owns a signed 8x10 photo of Reeves. He said that other than the one he owns, he had NEVER seen a signed picture of Reeves. That is until the one that I gave him. I thought about having it slabbed, but didn't do it yet. I will see him in July at the CSA show in Chantilly, Va. I may have it done then...... It is not on Spence's website yet. The website says it can take up to a month after something is authenticated until it will show up for verification. When it does, I will post the cert. #. He took a couple of pictures of it, so hopefully it will look better on his website than it did on the Ebay listing. I asked him if he knew who the older gentleman in the middle between Reeves and Rozelle was. He had no idea. I have every Football Hall of Fame magazine from 1962 to 2007 EXCEPT 1967 and 1998. I do have a feeling that it may be from the ' 67 issue, since that was the year he went in. I have no idea what it's worth, but I have to think quite a bit. Reeves 3x5 cards go for anywhere from $850.and up. Tuffstuff doesn't even list a price for a signed picture. Anyone have a guess? Can't believe I got so lucky !!!!!

I have opened my Oldest Living Football website to the public and if you get a chance, give it a look. I know that it is not 100% accurate but I think it is as close to that as there is available. I am eventually going to add all NFL players but for now, I stopped at the 1960 debut year.

I am also gradually including everyone that has died as of 1990. I will add the entire death list in the next couple of months. It is a task!

anyone else have this problem. i sent some PSA/DNA auto'd cards without grades in for grading. today about 2 weeks later i get the following email.

"637906- The card on line 4 has been through the PSA service previously and is considered a regrade (red flip). We will need to separate this card as the other cards (in the blue flips- having gone through PSADNA only) will be treated as raw cards. Please authorize PSA to separate the card on line 4 and charge additional shipping of $16.25. The original shipping will change to $18.35 (marked as $22.75.



637904- The cards on lines 2-3 (blue flips) need to be separated with additional shipping of $18.35. Again we cannot have cards with red flips (regrades) on the same order as blue flips (considered raw). Please authorize PSA to adjust and charge accordingly."

I dont understand why they need to be on separate subs as I am asking for the same service on all cards. if they would look at the cards they would see that there are no grades on them. i swear that i have had blue and red certs before in the same review order. either way i dont see how this should result in having to split the orders.

well the second of my two PSA/DNA's popped. Overall I am pretty happy. I hope that my two nines will get me past MOSH on my 96 Laserview Inscriptions set. The 97s Inscriptions have finished that set for me so that should yield another piece of paper. I might have a few upgrades for my HOF set as well. Plus the new additions for this years HOF inductees. I just sent off my Fred Dean auto tonight with some other auto'd cards for other sets.

BTW, I believe that PSA mailed your orders to me. I had a pink slip from the post office saying they tried to deliver two packages...and I think that one is yours. Sorry about that...I changed my address w/ PSA and they've been mailing all the orders to me...even the ones that had a different mailing address. I'll mail out ASAP once they redeliver on Modnay or Tuesday.

The move was very interesting to say the least.... I went through about 4 or 5 days where anything that could have gone wrong...went wrong! My closing went well and we've been in the new house since last Wednesday...and we love it! Now all I have to do is sell my house back in IL!!

What's going on with you? Do you care to move to Bolingbrook...I'll cut you a nice deal

Does anyone know why PSA wouldn't grade this? I got a voucher for it, but I thought it was a legit issue. The label says "NO SPEC INFO, NO GRAD NO HOLDER." Sorry for the bad scan. It looks much better without the holder.

I have a Young but it was rejected by PSA. I had been watching the one you bought for 2 weeks, however I thought $95 was a little much. My pockets aren't as deep as yours moneybags...lol. Congrats!

Nice job on the grades too! The only orders PSA hasn't graded yet are the $5 specials. The only HOF auto cards in that order from my set is the Darrell Green. After that, the only ungraded HOF auto card I have left is the 55 Topps AA Turk Edwards. You're starting to make me sweat...you're not leaving much breathing room.lol..

yeah i saw that turk. no way i am paying that much. thats almost thorpe prices. which brings up the point about if this set should be weighted. i mean a psa 10 thorpe auto could bring close to 10K at auction yet it would be the same weight as a PSA 10 John Hannah.

maybe at the national we can try to discuss an approach to having the set weighted, at least by the rarity of the auto's or something. but then again that can all change as we have seen with the addition of more cut auto's of HOFers every year.

as for me being mr moneybags...i am sure your flux of cash will increase now that you have moved out of the chicago area. living will be much cheaper for you. well once the house in IL is sold.

yes i am hot on your tail. but you can breath easy...there isnt much more that i can do...but wait for things to pop up.
