Great news with the Trafton. Plus a decent number. Like last years Bert Bell. Nice to see another round of Herbers out there as well. I really want one of those for my Packer collection.

I agree - we'll be shooting it out for the Trafton's on E-Bay...lol. I'd love to get a Herber. I think the print run on Herber was around 25 copies on the 2002 Legendary Cuts. The 6 new copies issues in NT will bring the total cut auto card pop to circa 30.

That Thorpe is very ugly - I hate when add'l wording is included in the cut sig. Is anyone going to bid on it?
I just picked up several cards for my auto'd set; 1991 Proline Atwa*er (evidentally, the twa* in Atwa*er was caught by the vulgarity software...lol), Gary Anderson and Moren Andersen, 1992 Proline Junior Seau and a 2005 SP Authentic SOTT Andre Reed...all for c. $50 dlvd. not too bad!
I rec'd notice that my Greasy Neale was mailed back on the 16th from the review - but I have no idea whether it was certified this time around. I'm on pins and needles! Any intereting wins lately from anyone?

The release date for National Treasures is tomorrow, Jan 29th. I wouldn't be surprised if singles start showing up tomorrow, definitely later this week. I am really excited about the Trafton release. I was really hoping there would be some cuts of Len Ford or Curly Lambeau, but I understand how difficult the signatures are to track down. Maybe next year...

Thanks for your post...collecting the HOF auto set is very addictive (an expensive, but not nearly as expensive as the HOF baseball auto set).

No. My agreement w/ the buyer was no refund. I still think its good... The authentication game is such a PIA. What I really hate about PSA's model is that they don't tell you what aspect of the autograph is inconsistent or questionable. It's all or nothing.

PSA doesn't tell you if the card is submitted for the red flip. IF you send in through the blue flip service, you pay more and I belive you get a letter that accompanies the autographed item.

Marshall would cost $75 for the authentication process based on their fee schedule since a basic cert is not available for him.

I would call to find out anyway.

I almost had a stroke when I saw it...as a matter of fact, I almost missed it. I new the last card in the E-Bay stores was priced at $38. I was ready to enter a new search when at the last second I saw a card for $39. The second I saw it, I checked and hit the BIN button. Not the greatest auto...but I can't be too choosy w/ Speedie as his autograph is very tough to find.

I have a list of guys that I search for everyday and Mac Speedie is on that list. I bet I have been looking for him for over a year now and I haven't come across one thing signed by him. I am at the point that I will take anything. Congrats!

I have a signed card of his I purchased about 7 or 8 years ago for $2 IIRC on eBay with a COA from the seller.

I can post a pic if anyone is in a position to offer an opinion on it.

BTW, I recently saved a George McAfee handwritten letter from being in the next National Treasures.

I was extremely surprised that Carter didn't make it. I think that Monk stole some of the votes that Carter otherwise would have had.
