Nice grouping of cards and what a bonus to find something you had lost track of. I hope you find more to share while finishing your cleaning. >>

Found no more cards, but I did discover this vintage white sox item: image

RD....WOW...wish I had that kinda' stuff just sitting in a box I forgot about...nice stuff!!
  • Did I get a good deal on this? I won it for $38.00 + $5.00 sh The seller states the cards are all NM and should be graded. I was thinking of submitting them all to PSA just to get a complete set on the registry instead of building a set one by one image

    Jery's T206 set: Looking for PSA 6's & 7's!
  • Nice game. The 1970 Milton Bradley was the "travel size" companion to the 1969 big game. The 69's had 296 cards in the set and came in a bigger box. The 69's had square corners and were issued in perforated sheets which you had to seperate to make the individual cards. The 1970 cards are a bit smaller than the 69's and are usually found in nice condition, like yours, because of the rounded corners. Gotta love that airbrush work......

I agree. F.Robinson was a very underrated player...one of the greats of all time. Yesterday I received another F.Robinson card....so far, only the more recent ones, but I'm trying not to overpay too much and I'm building it up slowly.

I picked up the game last year - I think I paid 30 bucks. Yes, I think ya did good. The games have a range value between 50-125$ and the Standard Catalog of BB has the "complete boxed set" booking Nm for
    150$.

I was looking at a 1978 George Brett card tonite, and realized just how rare my own 1976 Topps George Brett PSA 9 really is!

I know of only 2 PSA 9's in the 1976 Topps Registry set (The #1 set, me! image and the #2 set, Cincyfan). (NO TENS GRADED!!!!!!)
The George Brett Basic & Master Player PSA Registry Sets: None (...not a single PSA 9 to be had!)

Well, that leaves 3 graded examples "out there somewhere in sportscard land"!

A PSA 9, if and when one comes up for sale, will fetch a tidy sum. And someday, if a 1976 Topps George Brett PSA 10 does surface, who knows how high one could go for?

Nice pick up on the 57T - where are you on the set? Are you still upgrading the 78T set?

Those are some sweet looking 69Ts - the color backgrounds are a favorite of mine.

I'm looking forward to next yrs Topps Heritage since they will be resurrecting the 58T design!

Most of my maildays have been too big to show off recently (multi-hundred card lots), but a nice little group of cards came in today:

I've really been wanting an autographed Berra rookie for a while now, but haven't been able to get an acceptable one (either condition-wise or price-wise) on eBay in order to send it in to his museum to be signed. I may still get one done (I'd rather have a ballpoint ink one), but this one certainly will do for now. The Kubek goes towards my autographed 57 Topps set, and the Jensen was just too cool of a card to pass up. It'll go nicely with an autographed 52 Topps (PSA/DNA as well) that should be arriving any day now.

  • Schr1st,

I absolutely love that Spahn. I've been looking at unsigned issues of that card on the Bay for a while now but always got outsniped at the end. image

You've got to be really happy with the centering on that Kell. image

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliments! I am indeed happy with the centering on the Kell. It has print marks on it, but it still presents really well. It'll look nice once I have it slabbed. I had been wanting to get a normal Spahn as well, but it's one of those cards that either looks really sharp, or too dull to even be worth spending $ on.
